Who would have guessed down + the adventure...wow what a combo, an unlikely pair really, there are solid similarities and an undergoing bond going on between the two if you want, and they're two tracks quite close to each other in terms of timeline and most importantly texture/vibe. The dark undetones of down meld so fine and smooth with the exciting sparkling mesmerizing magnetic reverberating energy from the adventure which still has those dark undertones just in a different way. Cause from boxcar onwards it is that evident blink first and ava then and everything that came thereafter is permeated by a new powerful identity compared to the rising blink of Dude and Enema era. With toypaj come in lurking those dark undertones in a more prominent yet nuanced way even if they were still trying/supposed to adhere to what Enema was. Failing, cause for whatever reason things were changing, and thats why after toypaj theres been what i consider the most epic gritty high level time for blink even if all of this is what then eventually contributed and attracted all to its demise. A necessary rough ride i may say. Thats why we have this magical mash up experiment as well as others. I got some of mine too that i thought of. I'd like to work on them some day. Glad to see people were appealed to do quite the same long before me. For instance here note how well it slips over the transitioning between down chorus and the 'here i am' part. It creates a really peculiar effect i might want to investigate further. Not only, just think about how closely related im lost without you and the adventure seem to be, i feel like they got the same sort of expanded vast soundscape to them
