STILL working on my sound. I used an external mic this time, but I’m not super pleased with it. It seems to sound differently on all of my devices so-sorry! I will get it right eventually 😉
I know you were having sound issues, but when I tried to watch it just now, there was NO sound at all. Is that what happened, or am I missing something? Maybe you could do a sound over the original, simply explaining the process? I'm very interested, but without ANY sounds, it makes no sense. :(
@@teresabrockett7525 oh! Hmm I have sound on my end on all my devices. The sound issues I have were just not the best quality, but there’s definitely still sound…
I just started decorating cakes, have only done 10 cakes so far.. but I'm doing 50 mini cake wedding favors for my sister and she wanted lace so I've been making lace and I freaking love it!!!!! I now wanna use edible lace all the time! It's so cool! I am also like you and hate waiting for things to dry.
Using the brûlée torch for the spatula….why have I never thought of this 🤯 I’ve only used the premade dry mixture with lace mats…which is why I haven’t used it a lot. I’m glad you “went first” with the homemade recipe so I know it works from a trusted source.
Works even better when you have a bench scraper that’s the right size 😅. Is the premade dry mix expensive? This recipe was honestly so reliable. I thought I had messed it up with not letting the tylose set long enough, but it was totally fine!!
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe I don't find it prohibitively expensive, especially since there are different brands and as such competition. I live in such a small area though that I have to order online which also makes it difficult for pricing because things change so quickly and shipping....being able to make it at home is going to make this a more practical solution. I personally LOVE the looks you can create but because ordering it (and then storing it) were an issue I kept it to on demand or special projects. I am excited to try this recipe.
I love making edible lace & used the same recipe/tutorial in your link. I forgot to add the white before making other colours once. I don't use it as often as I should for all the mats I have. Lovely video. Thanks for sharing. 🤩
Hi Ashleigh! This cake is stunning! You mentioned you used American buttercream. Can I apply this lace to Swiss meringue buttercream? Thanks in advance!
It is supposed to be eaten, but it’s definitely not something I’d be craving 😂. It almost tasted like nothing with a hint of sugar and then it dissolves. It’s more of a textural experience.
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe I have another question. Can I use gum tragacanth instead of the CMC to make the lace? I’d prefer to use something natural and, between CMC, gumtex, and gum tragacanth, that is what seems to be recommended. Your thoughts??

Wow! Gorgeous! My lace NEVER came out that beautiful! ❤️
I really like your videos. I’m not a baker. I don’t want a home based bakery, but some of your videos give me pretty ideas for my occasional box cake.
Yay! So glad you’re finding them useful as a hobby baker too 💕
Beautiful!!! I love all cakes, thank you 😊 ❤!!!
Love your energy!!!!
Aw thank you so much, Nazeema!

Thank you!!
Beautiful once again...
I became obsessed with edible lace for a bit after this!
I love ur videos
Thanks, Hannah!!
I’ve been waiting for an edible lace video! Thank you 😊
So satisfying and fun!
So pretty, Q, did you put the mold on a try to go into the oven to dry?
Also, how long does the unused mixture last, any idea?
Thx Ashley
How cool! Great job!
Thanks, Tess!!
I love it! I’ve been wanting to make edible lace!

I’m a sucker for lace for sure!! Thank you 💕
Cute cake.
Thank you! 🥰
Can you refrigerate your cake once you've added the lace?
Hi Ashleigh! This cake is stunning! You mentioned you used American buttercream. Can I apply this lace to Swiss meringue buttercream? Thanks in advance!
You sure can! It’ll press in easier too; probably won’t need any shortening either
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe thank you so much!
Nice job, what kind of airbrush you have I got one but not working properly thanks for your help
It's the one from Michael's! Sweet Shop I believe it's called
Thanks so much
What is icing sugar? Is it similar to confectioners' sugar? I really like your videos. Great ideas.
Yes, it is!
Love it....
Thanks, Renia! 🥰
Hi! Can you add the lace to whipped topping?
You sure can! This lace is so strong and very ‘dependable’.
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe thank you! I have a cake for Saturday and they requested whipped topping with lace. I was worried it won’t work like fondant
Any hint on how much for that cake. I like it for my coming birthday
At the end I put my projected pricing guide 🥰
Really pretty cake! Is the edible lace meant to be eaten? What does it taste like?

Where may I find the lace recipe?
It’s in the description box where you will find a link to the original recipe! 🙂
Exquisite
