I had an awesome experience once I was listening to praise music once at a gathering. I scenced the Lord was singing to me instead of me singing to Him. I really loved that...It was an awesome moment. I will not ever forget it.

Y'all. I got chill bumps listening to this testimony!! Though I didn't hit the road in a literal sense .... I was definitely lost on a winding one for many years! And when I was a young single mom and trying to figure out my 'why' and purpose in life (and still living a very unGodly life) but searching and seeking out answers to questions I had- Abba GRACIOUSLY put 2 sweet christian sisters in my life and they began planting seeds!! However- our lives and upbringings were very different- so there were areas in my life they just couldn't comprehend the 'why' or 'how' I got there- etc... anyway... trying not to go on and on... but music was HUGE part of my life back then... (at the time probably in more of a negative way/influence. Looking back- I can see how what I listened to greatly impacted how I lived my life and responded and reacted and behaved. Yikes!) So when they (my friends) tried to share some 'wholesome christian music' with me, I pretty much crinkled up my nose and was like - uhhh, what?! Noooo... this is awful. But THEN... our Pastor's younger son who was a musician and liked more 'current' christian music actually gave me 2 (OK gonna date myself now... cassette tapes!! CD's were a newish thing back then- so he burned a copy of his CD onto a cassette! Oh my.) Anyway... one of which was Burlap to Cashmere and the other was Third Day!! And seriously that song you played- as soon as I heard the 1st few chords it was like this flood of memories came rushing back!! That song was soooo pivotal in my early Christian walk!! The other song that also 'spoke to me' deeply was Black Bird by Third Day. Anyway... thank you so much for sharing this... wow. Really cool. It never, ever ceases to amaze me how Yahovah reaches us where we are at... with whatever we can grab onto to reach up/out to Him!! Praise and Glory to Him!! Blessings to you all!! Thank you!! And thank you for your musical talents and sharing with all of us!! As someone who WISHES I had some musical skill somewhere within me... This really takes me back to a similar effect a song I heard while driving my Van home early one morning after my Band's Orange County CA New Wave Club Gigs. I was lost spiritually, alone and I just started crying as this song Steppin' Out" (which I'd heard many times before) strangely touched my heart as Joe Jackson sang the words "into the Light, into the Light"! Suddenly the emptiness of my soul became very, very evident and conviction of my sinful lifestyle was overwhelming. I realized later it was the Holy Spirit touching me with the Love of Jesus calling me and I've now been Saved for over 34 years. He Knows where we live and wants to brings us from this worlds darkness, "into to the Light"! Thanks for letting me share. MC

Hebrews 7:24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Praise the Lord. He saves AND He keeps! Hallelujah, what a Saviour!
I believe we all have a "turning point" story in our lives....thanks for sharing yours..... Only by the grace of God was I able to get through my young adulthood...drove many times in such a state of alcoholic stupor, only by God's grace and His Angels on the wheel was I spared horrible consequences....Praise God's powerful words.
Thank you for telling us about that song. My song was by the 2nd Chapter of Acts called "Lift Me Up". It is basically the gospel in song and is from their CD called "Singer Sower". I had that song on my channel, but TH-cam and the powers that be took it down and put a strike against my channel a few years ago. But it was that song that drew me to the Lord Jesus Christ, and played a part in my salvation.
As a 70 year old musician hippie myself, I understand how music, harmony, color, nature and delightful fragrances can totally transform our lives in the most magical way. Heck, you don't even need drugs to find it. Peace. 🌹
Please pray for our children. We have four ,ages 14 to 24. Our eldest is following the Lord but has difficulties because he is a high function autistic. Every day he has some level of anxiety and angst. He's a puppeteer working from our home . You can see what he does at Wesley's Wuppets right here on TH-cam. Our son is saved but struggles with worldly things. He has a serious girlfriend. He has the desire to do right but does not always the courage to take a stand and fight against temptation. Our 3rd. a daughter , is also high functioning autistic. We think she too is saved but has a hard time understanding and communicating the deep things of God. She is easily attracted to things that will simply entertain her to stay calm. Our youngest, a daughter, may be saved but in these early years of adolescence , has become ensnared in the LGBTQ agenda. She told us a year and a half ago that she thinks she should be a boy. There is reason for hope as she has asked questions and made comments to myself her Dad, and a camp counselor expressing her desire to better understand what it means to be a Christian. Her journey thus far, has been one full of anxiety for the whole family. Would you pray for our family ,especially our youngest daughter? We need the Lord's wisdom to guide her and she needs to keep her heart open to answers God wants to give her. Thank you, for your testimony and example Brackin . We love you and your whole family.
That song sounds so familiar. My dad used to buy music from discount bins at bible bookstores. We ended up with bands like Petra and my favourite Rich Mullins. I bet I heard it as a kid.
Hello, I really enjoy watching your channel and I've purchased CD from you hoping one day I could afford a player to play it on. I'm on a fixed income so sometimes I have to make choices on what I purchase. Jesus has layed on my heart to help you and your family do what you do cause if is a good thing. I've already used my budgets this month, but next month I want to do something for your mission and I decided since you have offered all your music downloads, I'll just download them on my phone or my tablet and listen that way. It will be a small offering but it will be consistent every month. So thank you again for for sharing your family and your music!
Thanks for sharing that part of your life, Brackin. It is interesting because I had just read today about a mother who wrote a book about Suicide Awareness---A Mother's Warning {by Annie Falk Davis}. Her 21 year old "too-good-to-be true, handsome, intelligent, athletic, pre-med college senior" had killed himself. She said that he had written a loving letter of goodbye stressing that he could no longer find direction and purpose in life. They did NOT see it coming. They just thought he was a 'worry wart". When I heard your testimony here, it sounded so similar. You too were looking for purpose and direction when you left home. These young people are surely 'without hope and without God in this world'. I haven't read the book, but it seems like he had it all, in this world, but it wasn't enough. Maybe your songs need to reach out to these younger ones also, like that one song did for you.
The Lord Jesus first drew me with music. I heard a nearby choir practicing & they sounded heavenly. The words they. were singing were, "in my heart there rings a melody....."
