My Grandfather and the Father of legendary erstwhile Hero TRM were close friends, both were being famous Vedic scholars in Madurai and Thenkarai-Sholavandhan circles those days. (As a reputed Vedic Pundit, my Grandfather recited Mantras on the invitation of Founders and blessed for the growth of TVS establishment, as a participant, while inaugurating the TVS Company's very first office in Madurai during 1920s, which became an industrial empire later and made history !) But both the families (of TRM and ours) lost contacts later very long back due to migrations elsewhere. My Grandma (born at Thenkarai) and my father told me that my Grandpa used to appreciate and encourage TRM during his childhood days while he was singing with sweet voice as a lad, as also TRM's elder brother (child actor in the film Nandakumar later) and insisting their father Ramakrishna Sastrigal to arrange to impart Music lessons especially to TRM, as a Catalyst in a sense, to induce TRM to develop his talents, predicting that he will be having a bright future as a celebrated Musician. But, prior to TRM becoming such a highly renowned Actor-Singer, my Grandpa had passed away at the age of 58. Had he been alive at that time atleast for a few years, his joy would have been boundless. I feel extremely glad to share this reminiscence through this intersting video released by you. My respects to you. V. GIRIPRASAD (69 Years)
