The reality is that surge exists with every change in fluid velocity and can begin with negative pressures just as often as with high pressures. This video demonstrates the behavior of both high and low pressure surge events, as well as how to both mitigate and monitor the transient risk within a liquid piping system.

If a pressure transient occurs, SurgeWave™ will store the high speed data that you need to understand what is happening in your system. If nothing of interest is detected it stores minimal data needed to observe the overall trends.
