I remember playing this as a kid and didn't understand what I was saying Yes or No to. Now imagine spending hours as a kid trying to beat at that time was a pretty challenging game, only to push Yes and get game over.. I was in shock lol
I understood it and still pressed yes the first time just to see what would happen… it’s really cruel that it instantly kills you even if you have multiple lives left. Really difficult game as well, I think I only beat it once.
I gotta admit, it's kind of a bummer for Malkil to just keep coming back like Ganon. Only like, immediately. You win, and your reward is to be practically naked and hungry and gotta do it again. Damn.
What, pray tell, did Kuros ever do to you? Back in the day, when I first got to Malkil, I was so happy that I kept mashing the button to get through the dialog. As you can see, the default answer to the "join me" statement is a yes. I was not happy to see that randomly hitting a button cause me to have a game over. Worse, there was no continuing and no saves.
Maybe. It's hard to say as this game was one of the later releases on the system. You see a learning curve from everyone who made games on the NES over the course of it's life cycle. Just compare Super Mario Bros to Super Mario Bros 3.
Is sad this is the only game in the saga that at the end announce that it's going to have a sequel, but never happened. Maybe the developers thought about a Wizards and Warriors game which the plot is in the futture is not going to work.
@@adventureoflinkmk2 Ah, love the music in WW2. The music for the Summit of Icefire Mountain is one of my favorite in game music. If you like older games, check out some of my other videos. I have no time to upload right now, but I love all types of video games, and love running through some of my old game collection because of how fast it is to play through them. Most are endings, but I have a few other things, like no death play throughs. I also have a few rarely seen things, like Zelda BS.

It's actually kind of chilling for an NES game, that he doesn't actually kill you but keeps you alive at the brink of death to helplessly struggle.

The people who did this had a real mastery over the NES. I would say they were more skilled than the folks at Nintendo.

@@TheACcam Maybe if Rare wasn't sold to Microsoft in 2002 and Acclaim didn't go bankrupt, we would have more Wizards and Warriors games.
I feel this game a bit unnecessary, why the ironsword of the previous game was so important then if malkin survived on his spiritual form
