They both suck! I don't mean I hate them, but neither has evolved over the last 20 years. It was amazing in the beginning hearing these new styles while still being from the metal family. Now it's just the same thing over and over again, band after band sounding exactly the same, with the same theme. Metal doesn't need a new genre or branch, what it needs is for musicians to actually begin to be creative again. I would rather listen to Blackmore's Night than most of these metal folk bands.
