The most iconic musical sound of the 80s was really the glamrock, and that's the music style I first got into when I first discovered rock. Was a bit surprised by the overrepresentation of metal and hard rock for the 80s and virtually nothing from the most iconic style of the 80s. Glamrock was pure 80s it didn't exist in the 70s and it didn't exist in the 90s. Much like grunge was pure 90s. Genres like hard rock and metal made their start in the 70s and are still going strong to this day. While there were many iconic songs of those genres in the 80s, those genres themselves are not really iconic to any decade, it's pretty much ubiquitous since the 70s.
@@Seriously_Unserious Glamrock was, not back then and not now, ever, considered part of rock. It's considered a pop style garnered to imitate something that looks like rock and was considered cringe then and now laughable at best. sorry

My parents were young adults in the 80's, so growing up I listened to a lot of 70's and 80's music. tremendo ..buenas épocas ..la del '70 una de las mas magistrales ,la del '80 com optimas Bandas y en el '90 el Rock en su rebeldia negandose a bajar los Brazos ..😎👌
Miguel dude your videos have become my go to when I need a quick fix of something to cheer my up. I love your playing, expressivity and video work.
Thank you very much for your words my friend! You made my day!

Gotta love all 3, but I'd say 80s still takes the cake. Keep rocking, man!
👍😜🤘
As a 2000’s baby who didn’t get to experience any of this when I was in its prime, I love all of these lol
👍😉🤘
~That was bloody brilliant mate.... serious skills.... Only thing, I couldn't imagine an 80's riff off without "Mick Mars" in it.... The Crue pretty much defined the 80's heavy metal scene....~
👍😉
Как всегда - КЛАССНО, Друже! Но есть минус : многое хочется переслушать - целиком... Но тогда мне ночи не хватит.!.. :)
They’re all so cool they can’t even defeat each other.

Technically ACDC is same in 70s/80s/90s/00s/10s :D
The band that never ages
Acdc became the same stuff after the razors edge, listen to songs like "what's next to the moon" that's acdc
You can now add 20s.
Best Intro ever with Sabbath!!!

Эта музыка объединяет не только поколения,но и страны.Привет Мигелю из России.
вся запрещённая в СССР
Hey! I'm an American. I grew up in the 80s Cold War and was told by our news to hate you but... I gradually learned that was ALL LIES. Now we Americans are being told to hate Russians again and I REFUSE! Both of our governments lie to the people for Elite Gain and IM SICK OF THE LIES!
I feel bad that my US government is corrupt and is helping cause A LOT of Pain.
I feel bad for the Ukrainian People, also thousands of Russian speakers in the Donbas who lost their lives which most Americans don't know about.
I also feel bad for The Russian People! I Love You All! It's not your fault. I apologize for all the US Sanctions and sorry that your credit cards don't work and McDonald's and others are leaving Russia...😢
At least, hopefully, you all in Russia will be healthier with McDonalds🍔 gone. 😂
GOD BLESSINGS and JESUS's LOVE to YOU ALL in RUSSIA! ✌👍😃👍❤

its funny because the 90's guy already knew the other gen's riffs so he was just waiting to blow there minds.
Good point, but a lot of 90s riffs didn't blow many minds, but imagine hearing the Immigrant song in the 70s, ot any Sabbath, truely mind blowing 😊
@@boneidle626 plenty of alice in chains riffs were pretty mindblowing the first times i heard them
@@shmorange my favorite will always be Don't Follow.
So nice!
Thank you for the good performance!
Thanks a lot my friend!

70's: Rock n Roll
80's: Hard Rock
90's: Metal
🤘😜🤘
You got that very wrong..
80s is metal not 90s.. 90s is piss poor compared to early 80s stuff
70's, 80's, 90's = good music
00's and 10's = can this be called music?
@@scoutspr9469 I agree
@@scoutspr9469 there's s lot of new school metal bands reviving the 80s sound and it's just as good in some cases better so not all is lost in music just got to good the good stuff
Dude that's awesome, 90s silverchair? I love the guitars you use, keep it up, love it
Thanks a lot!
Regards from Portugal!👍😉
Them Bones by Alice In Chains has to be one of the nastiest guitar riffs I’ve ever heard
Brilliant!. I remember it all. I was there, man. And I think we've proven that good music ended in the 90's. BTW you 3 ought to form a band.
So awesome! Grew up in the 90s so that's what I'm going with.
Rock on...🤘😉🤘
80s was the best era for Metal 🤘🏻
🤘😜🤘
i have been thoroughly entertained for sure....watching your battles
Thank you very much!
Greetings from Portugal!
I love how you didn't go mainstream on all of them you brought out the music only real metal heads would know🤘🤘🤘
🤘😉🤘
80’s definitely takes the cake
👍😉🤘
This. Back in black, Rock you like a hurricane - those riffs are beyond legendary. Everybody agrees 80s was the golden age of music.
And what I love is I am fortunate to have heard all of these songs and knowing and recognizing them let's me know I've grown up listening to some really great music
👍😉🤘
80's the best of course
🤘😜🤘
First guitar battle without the people hating each other’s music

Wonderful video!! Thank you so much, Miguel!!
Thank you very much!
Regards from Portugal!👍😉
My parents were young adults in the 80's, so growing up I listened to a lot of 70's and 80's music. For me, the 80's had the perfect balance, just enough hardcore metal to the songs but without having too much like the 90's (Is there such a thing as too much?) Anyhow the 80's have always been my favorite of the 3.
👍😉
I consider te three decades are good but the Golden era were 70's & 80's.
Excellent video Bro!!
Greetings from México🤘🤘
I give you an andvice, make this video but with Solos. 🤘😎
Thanks a lot brother!
I like that idea!

All are winners. Do you know what is the best about music ?
That have no age.... a song from the 60s can put your crazy like a song from the 80s . This is the biggest thing from music.
But I like to see the evolution from the riffs all together in a video !!
Great work like ever. 👍
Thanks a lot man!
