I had the 4 speed 465 z myself,( loved it) took it on a enduro loop once- once was enough! way too much clutch work for my liking.great video ,thanks for the memories!
I honestly use the clutch on this bike about as much as on my KDX200. It's not too bad to ride in this terrain. It's just so heavy that it wears me out.
F a RM!damn near broke my spirit getting smoked by one as a kid!I thought my yz was the baddest thing ever made and it almost was.never got into the big bore 2 strokes though.I went from a honda 50 that I terrorized bryan - college station on to a xr 80 when we moved back to Louisiana then a yz 80 then a yz 125 then a Elsinore cr 250 then a kx 250 a yz 250 that my neighbor would leave me on his RM 250 ALL THE TIME then I was old enough to get my driver's license and got into cars and street bikes the first being a seca 750 and a 79 Camaro I made out a few different junk cars I found on some property we bought when I was about 16.always respect the RM though and always wondered why there wasn't more of them at least where I lived there wasn't, mostly yz,kx, and cr dirt bikes.and I still wonder, were they more expensive or something? damn sure wasn't because of performance!
Here in Oklahoma it's mainly the old Yamaha bikes that are left. I'm usually the only Suzuki rider wherever I go. I did get to race against an RM400 a few weeks back. The AHRMA race I just attended had plenty of old Suzukis. I'm a car guy, too. I like old Mopars, though. I'm so burned out on everyone having a Chevrolet that I couldn't care less about them.
Great ride!!

@vintageadventurerrides true
I am completely envious.
I want an 198-1985 Big Bore Suzuki for my collection😊
If I could get a 1985 RM500, that would be sick. Of course, they never came to the U.S. so they're probably worth their weight in gold here.
love your vids

Yamaha made the 465
The Suzuki RM465 is cooler.
