- Modifications to the USMC Gen 2 plate carrier and recommended aftermarket products to make it better.
Since I am about to make the switch to the Gen 3, it’s high time to make the full video on how to modify the Gen 2. Hope this helps.

I used the Gen 2 my entire enlistment. I know it’s not flashy like a JPC and the wallet warrior goons may not be impressed, but I loved it. Worked perfectly for me.

I remember taking the sling off a SMAW fiber and replacing my strap with it. Lol it stayed that way for three years.

I used to use shock cord to tighten around the sapi didn't have any trouble removing it when I needed to

does your unit allow you to run the gen 2 if everyone else is running a gen 3 or it being "issued" allows you to wear it, I got a personal gen 2 and they wont let me wear it

Just clarifying. You need an after market product in order to attach a placard?
Yes. AXL Advanced sells a nice molle/velco adapter for the gen2 to attach placards!

Actually not necessarily! To properly attach it yes you need an adapter kit for the gen 2, but there is a way using buckles. I will be putting up a video about it in future!

Is that a Blue Force Gear ifak? I need a better solution than this huge issue clamshell ifak pouch
It is! I’m working on a couple possible IFAK solutions right now but yes I’ve been using the BFG IFAK for a while now. It’s definitely better than the issued IFAK but it’s similar
I personally use the a smaller admin pouch and it works but I’ve seen people use those pouch’s that dangle in front of the nut pouch or get a roll one by ferro concepts
