Ehh, the RP in the HoloGTA server is pretty minimum. Some try it more than others. When I hear stuff like "NPC" or "bug" or "Wrong key!" or whatnot then I assume it's not really a must. But the language barrier can still be scary for the EN/ID girls for sure. That's why I respect people like Moona, Biboo, Fister, CC, Nerissa and Mumei who just jump in and try their best.

I just wanna emphasize that communication is the key in GTA. most of the JP girls are trying to RP but would just eventually lost with the fun & gameplay anyways 😂. putting the hours aside, RP-ing as foreigners that got stuck in Los Santos would be something interesting to watch. The language barrier itself would be so much content. Imagine trying to communicate to everyone with emotes alone
Would suck for the foreign side though, and it's not like we can have Anya/Kiara/etc everywhere at once, and it'd be just tiring for the ones translating. Every joke and context details would also just be lost (case in point: Pekora's Minecraft hardcore with voice chat mod server, and that recent minigame one)

Bcs you know, these kind of server ALWAYS go hectic at times Bcs she's down to collab when it's like to a chill game (like the Mario championship, the Mario party, etc) Like fauna quite literally always awake for those events I mentioned above so I don't think timezone alone can't hinder her motivation (not saying it's easy, but in most case she's always ensure her best for those event)
@FuMiO02110 fauna is 100% justified, but at the same time she definitely can just join and chill. I've watched the entire Niji GTA saga from multiple POVs, and both VCR GTAs from multiple povs. It's fully viable to just do a pizza place or bakery roleplay and serve others. But yeah there's always a potential for you to get kidnapped or involved in a chase or crime. So it's all up to the member.

i thought the RP server would be JP exclusively... but it's good that it is not... also i thought Fauna have already addressed about joining company wide events like this, since she said it's hard for her to adjust her schedule and wake up very early in the morning... the only reason why she was interested in pekora's hardcore minecraft server before was because the server was up for like 24 hours which would give her the ability to play and stream in her own terms except probably joining the events like the wither and the ender dragon fights...
Fauna and Risu are the confirmed members that won't join, and so far also members that haven't participated in three big main events this year (Outise ENReco for Fauna). Gura and Kobo haven't confirmed yet.. But as long they have their own reason, we gotta respect that..
Cecilia recently played Valheim, which is not only a very chill yet fun game, but multiplayer. Fauna actually gives off quite a strong viking vibe so I think it would be a great fit!

For me, it's the hours that I understand the most. Some of those events, especially like this GTA one, will really make you sacrifice your sleep schedule if you want to play with the JP and ID members if you live anywhere else but Japan or Indonesia. Now, if you didn't have much of a "normal" sleep schedule to begin with, then....lmao. (I'm looking at you Gigi, and Bijou. Granted I dont know if they're joining. I think Gigi said she might sporadically show up, but thats about it.)
While I can understand the hours explanation that is just considered normal when it comes to the EU members. Kiara, Cecilia and Elizabeth participated in enreco and most of that took place around 4am.

I think many of the major JP members like Subaru have made amazing progress with English, I'd say the number of members who've studied EN or JP a lot since debut is about 1:1. I love watching them play together these days using a mix of languages, compared to when everybody was isolated.
I think the language barrier would be a lotta fun to play around with. Fauna being part of the HoloSummer 3D collabs last year was still great. But the times really would be rough for most of EN, so yeah.

Towa already RP's with RPR on the GTA server every once in a while (they have a gang), so I assume she's going to reprise her role and possibly play a little with RPR (if this isn't just a private server) - like the rust server which was actually a public server - If it is a public server then that also means there will be other streamers and Vtubers that may log in and stream snipe (in this case literally too)
Right after this, Fauna also talked about Read Dead Online, and how it would be cool to do a HoloEN Read Dead thing. I would love that so much. I don't know if there are modding tools for Red Dead the way GTA has though. They could still just do simple RP with the in-game stuff though.
It's totally understandable, we'll still binge watching her stream Pikmin and her other planned games. Though personally I'm hoping there would be similar RP collab where Fauna can enjoy with the other members as well, I really love her role on ENReco lmao

I think the main reason why is because of the branch she applied for doesn’t require u to have some japanese since the en market is pretty big already. Idk how it works for hololive ID but i’m sure they require some form of English due to the market they are in and stuff like that.
While the language barrier is difficult, I think they’re rather welcoming and would make it work with translators about. I think the big thing is that time zone too… if you’re not used to 5-6 am waking up then it isn’t easy to suddenly do that.

The problems of having a not so jouzu nihongo... Learning another language must be brutally difficult with Hololive work in their shoulders, so props to Kobo that learn Japanese and English (and reinforced her Chinese) from scratch after joining.

Quite a few EN and ID members are joining the GTA server--Reine, Ollie, Moona, Anya, Zeta, Iofi, Calli, Bae, Ina, IRyS, Fuwamoco--so communicating would probably be fine. I think the server has some policies too about trying to communicate using multiple languages, so the JP members will use passion English. The timezone thing is completely understandable though. I already get up early to watch Reine's streams but GTA is going to be starting at 3 AM my time, it's gonna be pain.
Calli has a history of doing RP. She used to host RPG type events that were similar to DND back in her day. So she may actually be happy to jump into another RP project (If you think about it Hololive has been doing a few big games that are somewhat RP games. RUST and ARK could be considered roleplay type but not to the degree that GTA has become known for

I understand where Fauna is coming from. Damn time zones. For me I can't watch Fauna cause she streams at 6am and that's too early for me and I have work. I'm pretty sure its not really full RP and it'll be just like the VCR GTA. Seems she would wants to enjoy it fully but language barrier makes it harder for her. And with the set hours its really rough for her time zone too. I hope people could respect her decision. I wouldn't want to watch a streamer forcing herself and not enjoying playing even though they are friends. Hoping next time servers would be up longer or for 24hrs for members having time zone problems. But then again since most are JP members maybe there won't be anyone online when members from the other side of the world are logging in. It is what it is I guess.
A specific setting like GTA is not for everybody... and also being in Japanese... We can still hope for more events where everyone collabs like the festivals....

Time zones and language barriers are valid points against joining the RP server. Counterpoint: Biboo. Same issues, though the language barrier was smoothed a bit by pairing up with Calli. Same with Mooms joining Bae's attempt at a crime spree. Actually quite a few English speakers joined. Though it was funny hearing IRyS call out "OMG English!" when a bunch of them gathered outside the hospital to chat.
Well she does stream too early on jp time Last time she does enreco time was like 5am to 8-9am tho So yes, she would probably adjust a bit of time either earlier (probably 6-7 hours earlier) or later (6 hours later) Which is probably sleeping time on her location. makes sense to me. enreco is the only holoevent ive even watched because i could finally actually understand everyone in the event. i dont speak moon runes so ive never been able to watch most of the other events. no clue what is happening if i did. wouldn't even know anything about the jplivers if not for subtitled clips. only one i could ever watch was hachama because she would do english sometimes.

Language barriers and timezones are the real culprit here but it's understandable anyway. Heck, Fauna streaming too early in my timezone though. Besides, ENreco just recently done a week ago. Probably, she prefers to stream the usual for awhile, I guess. By the way, I'm still waiting for ENreco chapter 2.
I'm honestly surprised Hololive is doing this because of their size, like it makes sense Nijisanji could with their big list of livers. I wish she would try it anyways, passion nihongo/English never stopped others from collabing with JP. But I get it.

When Calli was talking about this, months ago, I thought it could be cool! But then you have all these natural barriers when nearly everyone in HoloLive is invited. Even if HoloStars isn't included, there's a lot of talents. I feel like this is why the EN boys had their RP server. This does get me thinking if EN had their own for a week. Even if it kind of happened already with Minecraft RP.
In all honesty, I think the language barrier would add a unique and fun dynamic. PLAY INTO IT. I think that dynamic if done right could be very funny. Just bumbling about completely unaware of what the JP only folks are doing and communicating only through expression and emotes could be awesome. However, the timezone concerns is very fair. No need to nuke a sleep schedule or force being on when the server is mostly dead. That concern is very fair.
On one hand that's perfectly understandable but on the other hand imagine having every interaction with the JP members being purely through passion english would be amazing.

Valheim is a great multiplayer game. Building a realistic looking village by accident with friends is worth the setup

まぁEN、IDの子たちは日本の企業（彼女たちにとって外国の企業）に就職しようっていう時点で、他国（日本）文化や言語に対するより積極的な関心や意欲がある人材の集まりではあるので、JPの子をひとまとめに比較して安易に「教養」という言葉を持ち出すのはどうかと。
特にホロライブのメインターゲット層である「日本のリスナー」に愛される「JPホロメン」の資質として、国際的な語学力は、強みにはなっても優先順位は低いと思うので、EN／IDとJPではそもそもスタート地点が違うと思いますよ。
ただ義務教育でもない日本語を学んで一生懸命話してくれてる子たちを見てると、中学レベルの英語もスルスルすり抜けてくホロメンたちに申し訳なくなる気持ちもわかったりw（エリザベスのJPコラボとか事故りまくりだし）
でも裏で頑張ってる子も多いですよ。英語教室通ってる子もいるし、ポケトークを買って海外ニキとコミュニケーションとってる子もいるし。
誰にでも得意不得意はあるので、みんなのやり方でもっと交流が増えるといいですよね。

This is actually kind of cool to learn you can join Hololive and not know Japanese.
I think the main reason why is because of the branch she applied for doesn’t require u to have some japanese since the en market is pretty big already. Idk how it works for hololive ID but i’m sure they require some form of English due to the market they are in and stuff like that.
I never imagined Fauna playing GTAV, but I'm in~ Gotta give EN a break from the collab first, but yeah, I'd love to see that too.
While the language barrier is difficult, I think they’re rather welcoming and would make it work with translators about. I think the big thing is that time zone too… if you’re not used to 5-6 am waking up then it isn’t easy to suddenly do that.

The problems of having a not so jouzu nihongo... Learning another language must be brutally difficult with Hololive work in their shoulders, so props to Kobo that learn Japanese and English (and reinforced her Chinese) from scratch after joining.

Quite a few EN and ID members are joining the GTA server--Reine, Ollie, Moona, Anya, Zeta, Iofi, Calli, Bae, Ina, IRyS, Fuwamoco--so communicating would probably be fine. I think the server has some policies too about trying to communicate using multiple languages, so the JP members will use passion English. The timezone thing is completely understandable though. I already get up early to watch Reine's streams but GTA is going to be starting at 3 AM my time, it's gonna be pain.

Calli has a history of doing RP. She used to host RPG type events that were similar to DND back in her day. So she may actually be happy to jump into another RP project (If you think about it Hololive has been doing a few big games that are somewhat RP games. RUST and ARK could be considered roleplay type but not to the degree that GTA has become known for

I understand where Fauna is coming from. Damn time zones. For me I can't watch Fauna cause she streams at 6am and that's too early for me and I have work.
I'm pretty sure its not really full RP and it'll be just like the VCR GTA. Seems she would wants to enjoy it fully but language barrier makes it harder for her. And with the set hours its really rough for her time zone too.
I hope people could respect her decision. I wouldn't want to watch a streamer forcing herself and not enjoying playing even though they are friends.
Hoping next time servers would be up longer or for 24hrs for members having time zone problems. But then again since most are JP members maybe there won't be anyone online when members from the other side of the world are logging in. It is what it is I guess.
A specific setting like GTA is not for everybody... and also being in Japanese... We can still hope for more events where everyone collabs like the festivals....

Time zones and language barriers are valid points against joining the RP server.
Counterpoint: Biboo. Same issues, though the language barrier was smoothed a bit by pairing up with Calli. Same with Mooms joining Bae's attempt at a crime spree.
Actually quite a few English speakers joined. Though it was funny hearing IRyS call out "OMG English!" when a bunch of them gathered outside the hospital to chat.

makes sense to me. enreco is the only holoevent ive even watched because i could finally actually understand everyone in the event. i dont speak moon runes so ive never been able to watch most of the other events. no clue what is happening if i did. wouldn't even know anything about the jplivers if not for subtitled clips. only one i could ever watch was hachama because she would do english sometimes.

Thats honestly two very good reasons and also why i dont watch the gta thing live either. I just wait for the vods and the people to translate for me. Saves me time, and though its cute to hear japanese from cute girls, I personally need to know what their saying to get the full enjoyment.
When Calli was talking about this, months ago, I thought it could be cool! But then you have all these natural barriers when nearly everyone in HoloLive is invited. Even if HoloStars isn't included, there's a lot of talents. I feel like this is why the EN boys had their RP server. This does get me thinking if EN had their own for a week. Even if it kind of happened already with Minecraft RP.

I watched that RP event when it happened months ago, it was very entertaining.
In all honesty, I think the language barrier would add a unique and fun dynamic. PLAY INTO IT. I think that dynamic if done right could be very funny. Just bumbling about completely unaware of what the JP only folks are doing and communicating only through expression and emotes could be awesome.
However, the timezone concerns is very fair. No need to nuke a sleep schedule or force being on when the server is mostly dead. That concern is very fair.
On one hand that's perfectly understandable but on the other hand imagine having every interaction with the JP members being purely through passion english would be amazing.
