I’m just beginning to paint with acrylics and the other day I watched your process for underpainting with oils which I’ve been trying to do. But this is more applicable to me. I’m so in awe with what you’ve created!!!

Thanks! You should check out water-mixable oils. They're a great alternative, and you (mostly) get the best of both worlds.

Makes me wonder if you could use watercolor in the same way, as an underpainting for oils.

You could, but you'd need to seal the paper first. Alternatively, you could try it on primed canvas. 👍

Which quick dryer do you use?

With the WMO I used Cobra's Quick Drying Medium. But I've used Liquin Fine Detail with my oils and have for decades. In recent testing, it appears to work well with the WMOs, too. 👍
