Good design idea to remove normal panels in cabinet doors to screen the speakers (instead of flush mounting speakers in the wall). Never thought of that, but love ways to hide tech and limit the amount of holes.

Pretty sweet home, even though some of the tech is dated I would live there in a heart beat.

The serene setting and home finishes are incredible, the tech could easily be upgraded and infrastructure still has a lot of value. I'd swap out some of the touch panels, add in modern inputs for the A/V distribution and you'd be ready to rock
The trouble is that some buyers will be intimidated by this and not understand how much value is really there, if they were to work with a local integrator it wouldn't take much to upgrade the entire system
also - I really want to do centralized load control in the next home we build, the keypads look so much nicer compared to a bank of 4+ switches on every wall.

Updating would be a fun project. With all the wiring in place you could do some cool things. Assuming the wiring is modern enough of course.
