It’s funny since Bogum’s character here grabbing CEO’s hand - reminiscent of their Encounter in Cuba. No inhibitions on their part since they both don’t know each other personally. It’s a simple boy meets girl in a foreign country - Cuba.
She doesn’t have that chemistry or looks comfortable with her own husband, yes the one that cowardly waited until she was out of Korea and filed for divorce. Not a gentleman 😡
I love dramas that reflect the real life. I don't like fantasy. If it could happen, great! Then, I live Encounter! Love PBG, but I did not like his partner. She is always the "same", same face, same character, same sad... in all dramas! The eternal suffering woman!
From the 1st ep there is a feeling something is wrong and fake about the couple due to the actress's old age ( body and mind, poor acting) and a younger much younger actor who is trying hard to squeeze some feelings to show his so to say "love" (but fails). So "love" between two characters is absolutely unconvincing. YOUNGER ACTOR (Park Bo Gum, 25 y.o.) AND OLDER ACTRESS (Song Hye Kyo 37 y.o.) is a poor choice: if she is replaced with the younger actress to match Park Bo Gum (who is an excellent choice) the film would be shining through the century! But no! The film has a depressing and downhearted effect.
Director Park-Shin-Woo and production company Studio Dragon didn't do a good job finding the right actress or the right actor for Encounter. Even though Song Hye Kyo is a popular South Korean actress, she is 37 years old, too old for the young actor Park Bo Gum who is 25 years old! This is the reason they do not match, there is no charisma between them and the young man's love is not convincing; the actor tries very hard to show his feeling and love but doesn't work; besides she is like a frozen manikin in this movie, old body, old spirit, old mind -that doesn't go together with Park Bo Gum's youthful spirit. Her clothes is old fashion; brown, grey colors are colors of old women, her red dress in ep 1 didn't' help her to hide her old body and didn't lighten up her frozen face, her acting skills are poor: frozen old body throughout the whole move: cries sometimes but you don't need a talent for crying. That's why the movie has a miserable effect. An older actor should be chosen for this actress or the younger, a 20 year old actress (as if there are no young beautiful actresses in Korea) for Park Bo Gum! Otherwise it is a miserable and miserable again effect from this couple.

I couldn't get past the first episode. Beautiful people but the script simply sucks. Boring. Maybe they got it from a Harlequin Romance novel.
