About Encounter (남자친구):
Cha Soo Hyun (Song Hye Kyo) is the daughter of a powerful, political family. She recently divorced her wealthy husband from an arranged marriage. Tired of living life guided by others, she decides to travel overseas. She meets Kim Jin Hyuk (Park Bo Gum), a free-spirited young soul on the way. Despite their differences, they are undeniably drawn to each other.
Will the two find true love amongst their differences?

This is the best kdrama I've seen. I feel sorry for those who couldn't enjoy it. Iv watched more than 100 doramas from China, Korea, Thai, Japan. Encounter has the perfect quality for a perfect story, perfect script, perfect soundtrack, perfect photography, the places they visited like Cuba. Scenes with the ocean, nights with snow, so romantic. Every chapter made my heart beat faster because of him, not Park Bo Gum, I mean his character, his perfect performance, the love of the writer put on his character is phenomenal. This is the best serie I have watched in my life
I HAVE WATCHED OVER A HUNDRED OF THESE DRAMAS LATELY. MY LOVE FROM THE STAR WAS MY FIRST AND FAVORITE ALL THIS TIME, UNTIL NOW. AS YOU SAID THIS MOVIE WAS PERFECT AND REALLY HAD THE ONE THING I LOVE SO MUCH ABOUT KDRAMAS. I LOVE HOW THEY BUTTON UP THE ENTIRE DRAMA. I COULDN'T STOP CRYING.
I agree with you Cintia out of all the K-dramas I have watched Encounter is #1 as the location, realistic emotions, Park Bo Gum and his acting performance, and NO LOVE TRIANGLES. This drama is perfect for a rainy day.

This is one of the best kdramas I've seen! Such a beautiful and touching storyline with the best actors in the leading roles! I truly enjoyed watching this drama. Thank you so much for this exellent drama.
Her emotions are so natural and her beauty is sublime...the very paragon.
Not entirely sure why some think the ending was inconclusive when it was perfect. When PBG's character proposed, SHK's answer was basically a yes (because she said it was a good day and they should eat something to celebrate). If you've been watching the same drama as me, his proposal summed up their relationship beautifully (why they fell in love with each other). I hope SHK can return to the small screen soon, I miss her acting. Encounter showcased her skills as an actress, she really proved herself through this piece.
I love both they are excellent and every way she has a natural beauty and looks younger then her actual age, and he is very handsome..

People are often unaware of the fact that when they form an opinion about something, their opinion tells more about them than about the subject of their opinion. These kind of stories are like indicators: people who are not sensitive enough obviously find it boring.
@@moma-b I also really think it depends on the person's preferences of genre. I really only watched this show for Park Bogum, and I liked it well enough but I think that's only because I was biased due to him. Had it been anyone else as the male lead, I probably wouldn't have liked it as much, and I would say the reason for that is because I just don't care all that much for strictly romance genres. I like horror, thriller, action, ones that deal with social issues, dramatic, or just ones about specific interesting topics etc. This show was all romance and nothing else really. And that's just not for me, though I can totally say that someone who does enjoy romance stories like this would like it a lot. To be clear it's not a bad show at all, just not my style. I never watch romance shows unless there are other elements in it or there's an actor in it who I really want to see. This was one of those lol
She is beautiful. She look younger than her age.. this drama was made for this two. She can stand side by side with bogum.. if you dont know her real age.. u cant even tell she is in her 30’s.

Esse drama seria lindo se não fosse tão trágico, esse escritor não escreveu um drama e sim uma tragédia ,essa mulher dofreu o drama todinho até o final e jevuo ele a sofrer também, esse povo precisa rever essa maldade que eles carregam no coração para não transmitir tudo isso para as pessoas porque estamos todos precisando de muito amor, e menos maldade e sofrimento , é uma pena não podermos viver isso nem nas telinhas

I like this drama but the last episode was not at the best. I hope with all my heart to finish in Cuba, they being together, in love in a hotel bed, not shy but to show more love... The finish was a bit of an open one...

I didn't like this series, they should had let someone else to play as his girlfriend the one they had playing as his girlfriend look more like his aunt or older sister, mom
The story line is about an older woman & a young boyfriend. The woman in her mid-30s, had once been married, gone through divorce & is now a CEO of a chain of hotels. The guy is a fresh university graduate who spent a year working as waiter, delivery man & construction worker in order to save money for a one month vacation in Cuba before landing a full time job in his profession in Hotel Management. Therefore the casting of SHK & PBG is right for the characters they played in this drama.
