"You do not become a gardener by reading gardening books" REALLY stood out to me. I am so guilty of learning all I could learn without ever taking action. Needed to hear that, thank you!
"You don't learn how to become a gardener by reading gardening books, but a gardening book can give you the knowledge to apply the sort of tips that will allow you to get there via the most direct path." Love this!
I have also realized how crazy introverted I am in this time. I’m “good” at faking it through my work and social life. But, I am absolutely digging being in my bubble. I can accomplish so much more now and don’t feel guilty about not getting together with people or working by myself. Even though my job is potentially threatened the longer this goes on, I hope I can retain a considerable level of this new sense of peace I have found. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience!
I'm an introvert and I have pretty severe social anxiety however I can be around my husband 24/7 and it makes me really happy. Can't say the same about other ppl lol
You guys rock :D but I do have a hard question for you. I love to make stuff (educated an industrial designer) and a content creator on youtube, making physical things and filming me doing that. I do it for fun and for my love of making. The trouble comes when this collides with my new found love for minimalism. Most time I create items that I do need, but I also like to make stuff to see how they turn out, explore a new material, etc. I also make stuff that I think people would find interesting to watch. Sooooo... how to solve this? Just make the few items i really really need? = fewer and better-produced videos? Make non-physical stuff, or?? Anyway, love from Norway, keep it up.
Shelbi, one of your past guests, has an entire degree in environmental sustainability and also worked for our govt for years. She is the person you should be seeking advisement on for recycling concerns. The gentleman you mentioned, McAfee, works for MIT surrounding business and technologies. The arrogance of him analyzing statistics to speculate the environmental impact of recycling is just mind blowing. Once again, female leadership and expertise are slipping right through your fingers. Is saving the environment expensive? Yes- cleaning up corporate responsibility IS expensive. But don’t ask me- ask Shelbi.
One of the favorite things I like about your podcasts is the Added Value segment, where I am able to discover new music that are out of my music range, and I can say that you guys have a wonderful taste in music. If that rumor's true, it would be sad. I hope that you will create playlists or something like that on music platforms like Spotify where I can listen to all of them.
If you test for COVID-19 antibodies and you test negative, it means that your immune system hasn't developed that specific response to the virus. This can mean that you haven't been infected, or you could have been infected but the infection was cleared before that part of your immune system was put into action. The test can come back negative but you can still be infected at that moment in time. This is because antibodies are developed at a later stage in the immune response, so you can be infected and test negative if your immune system hasn't come to that stage of fighting off the infection yet. If you test positive it means that you have been infected and that your immune system has developed that type of response. However it does not mean that you can not get re-infected with the virus and you can possibly still get ill and/or infect others. Just a reminder to be careful when interpreting the results of antibody tests

The "time out" this quarentine gave me, i really need it. I love the "uncalender" life. Just enjoying life at my own rhythm.

Only ever listened to your podcast on spotify... seems too weird watching you both on video! Love your podcast!
Thank you for sharing your experiences and tips that, over the years, have helped me create a less complicated and calmer life.

Difficult question! Any luck figuring it out?

I whole-heartedly agree with this comment.
I find a lot of value in Shelbi's content. Enjoy her TH-cam channel.

so minimalist he forgot his sunscreen... :)
Awesome episode! I listened to the podcast version. As soon as I checked the video though I couldn't help but think but wonder why JOSH IS RED
He's normally very pale. I suspect he has a sunburn.
I love hearing the intro!
Look at: Computing Forever, TH-cam with Irish Prof. Delores Cahill. So interesting.
Hes great. He was an early adopter of cell phone detox. Looking forward to listening. Thanks for the suggestion
