Hi Henry I started at the Railway I think it was late Summer last year. Your video on the Buxton Pavilion Minature Railway and it was great. Hope you come to Brookside soon. We have big plans.
Thank you very much! I really like the Brookside Miniature Railway so I'll definitely visit again if I'm in the area.
Great
Great to watch Henry. Can't believe it must be at least 3 years since I was last there. Greater collection of railway memoralabia in the shop too!
Thank you for watching! I've not had a chance to visit again since making this video. I'd love to explore more of this area in the future.

@@HenrysAdventures You are very welcome.
i muss sagen henry dat is ein nice bahnhof für eure railway park eisenbahn sehr nice😉😊😇🥰
Poynton station is amazing. Very complete and period. Better than some steam railways!! Hats off to them
Thank you for watching! Poynton certainly does have a great railway station!
I live pretty much near the station. Great town very happy there.
Glad to hear that! Poynton does look like a lovely place to live!
Hi Henry, I walk the old colliery lines daily, as well as the Middlewood Way. Happy to act as a guide next time you come to Poynton.
Oh and yes there is another carriage/wagon that now holds plants as well.
Thank you for your offer. I've had got plans to walk some more of the old railways in the area, not sure when that will be but I'll keep you offer in mind.
Lovely film. Grew up on that platform and knew the station master well. They really whizz through! Pretty certain the station staircase is unique as probably been to most of the stations in this area. The old track beds around there are fantastic with a lot of history and mining which is great to explore. As for the Brookside railway it did appear to change layout every year but we all wanted one in our garden!! Paul
Thank you very much! Every time I've been to the Brookside Miniature Railway the trip has been different but it certainly makes me want to visit again and again!
@@HenrysAdventures By the way we used to have a Lada Riva too! The leaf blowing brigade did look down on us but heck it got us around. And you learned not to be self conscious!!! Great channel I’ve subscribed. Paul
@@pauljones401 Thank you very much for subscribing! My Lada Riva has been a great car for me, its got my just about anywhere a train can't!
@@HenrysAdventures Ours had windscreen wipers on the headlights!!!
Me too...Glyn done lovely job...also knew Albert
I like watching your small gauge vidios Henry, do you still work at beconscot Garden railway in Beaconsfield....., regards Bill the bubbleguard, Chiltern railway,
Thank you. Glad to hear you enjoy my miniature railway videos. Yes, I still do a few days at Bekonscot.
You mentioned the River Mersey which is formed of the Rivers Goyt and Tame, the Tame joins Diggle Brook which has come off the nearby Pennines formed of many small streams and flows parrellel with Huddersfield Road past my old house in Diggle to join the Tame virtually underneath Saddleworth Viaduct so this water flowing past my house past through Stockport on its way to Liverpool,
Thank you for the information on the rivers!
good video
Thank you!
Spent many of my years round that station, from 1994 till about 2001. Used to live in the estate that was the opposite direction you walk and over the rail bridge.
Used to sit and watch the trains go by all day!
And remember going on the miniature train when the locomotive used to stop, disconnect and use the turn table then you’d go back the opposite way. Was very different going back on it when it was a full circle!
Thank you for sharing you memories! :)
Wow! Revisit poynton it’s lovely! What a great little railway ! Do they ever run the opposite way? I think they missed a trick running them into the tunnel over the brook. I think it would be rather more exciting to come out of the dark onto a bridge like that one! 😁 keep these coming I love the style and it’s so enjoyable to see these places. 👍👊
Thank you for watching! I'm pleased to hear you enjoyed it. I'm not sure if they ever run clockwise but I agree I would be quite exciting!
hey henry i muss sagen so habt ihr the tunnel so gebauet für eure railway als eine park eisenbahn
I used to date a girl in Poynton a few years ago, I know the station well. Never knew about the model railway though.
Worth a visit next time you're out that way!
Im only 15 and ive been on this ride since i was 3. It is a shame seeing it change or get worse throughout the years
Thank you for watching! It has been shorted since my first visit and they no longer have steam. Maybe they will get steam again in the future.
@@HenrysAdventures We hope🤞🏻
I’ve been on that railway so many times too bad it only runs diesels now
I've visited a few times and never had steam, maybe oneday!
All the steam locomotives had been sold off unfortunately due to financial ruin. The railway had been completely closed in 2018, with every loco sold off. They have however managed to acquire a new backer and were able to buy back the diesels
I subbed as well
Thank you!
I love this vid you grammar lives in pontoon and I’ve bin in the mini her Rahul way tuns of times I love a tour of it pales Mack a vid of a true it brooch side pls I subbed to
Thank you very much!
Omg omg I can not believe it omg

Can you do miniature railway video
Yes, I've made over 60!
No lift but fully accessible!? Sounds like a case of box ticking gone wrong to me haha
The railway station is fully accessible in that you can access both platforms on the flat.
