Trash.. been doing that for years as a younger guy with zero money. Many memories brought back (and right there is St, Aug with uncle that was a commercial gigger). Learned a bunch on his boat, but loved it so much when I built my VW headlight gigging machine. Wish I had a pic of that. Lifetime Jville resident and just sold river house by Dames Point where I gigged for 50 years. Just moved to Palm Coast (river front in Jax is just to valuable now, sold it to a Yankee, LOL!!) on a canal and hope the gigging is good here as well. Need to learn the area. If your game, I got a bad behind gig boat.. Great work Sir!!
Ian you never fail on a video, that looks like some good stuff that under water footage was schaweet them flounder don't hang around 😅 That double was awesome 👌
Tug, here is an idea that I use, take a washtub and a truck enter tube, place the tube around the tube and fill it with air, tie a rope and the handle and place all your stuff in the tube. makes a great way to carry everything while gigging, even the fish on the stringer. Its also great for shrimp'n
Tubes are very expensive these days and hard to find. Pool noodles are cheap and easily cut to size. Then use a small piece of PVC to connect the ends together to fit any size tub, basket or tote.
plastic laundry basket with the pool noodle will work too. Just don't tell the wife or your sleeping on the couch. got to place something over them or they may jump out. lol
Primitive ?? 😂😂 That's exactly the way we started flounder gagging years ago ! Thank you tug for the awesome videos getting back to the roots of giggin !! 🎣🎣
You have a beautiful life and family brother and god bless U All …. Love your channel and I always look forward for your next so thanks for what you do and all your content I truly enjoy !! 👍❤️🇺🇸
Great Video, tasty looking doormats there! My dad used to gig them at night on the flats off the outer banks of NC. in the 70's. before the led lights days, lol. small generator in the boat, wasn't much conversation lol but big flounder, his largest was a 9 lb. monster that took two people to get it in the boat. Thanks for sharing.
Love this video that’s the way my father showed me to flounder over 60 years ago only we were using Colman lanterns for the light I was 50 years old before I floundered in a boat
Amazing! You definitely made up for the first one you missed. Always great seeing your content. I hope you & Crystal ate putting together a cookbook, I'd buy it the second you offered it.
Thanks Tug family. Reminded me of walking for flounder with my grandfather Pensacola Beach sound side. Coolest thing ever at 12 years old. Made me smile. Keep the great content coming!
Oh my Lawd, That meal looked amazing!!! You walking and gigging those flounder reminded me or walking the creeks and ponds here in southern Ky for frogs 40 years ago. Great vid Tug!
I love your videos and I am from Texas if I ever get a chance to come to Florida I'm going to look you up if possible cause I've never had anything that you cook on TH-cam looks awesome and very delicious 🤤. God bless you guys 🙏🙏🙏
Looking at more of a flats boat to get to add a couple jet skis down the river from where y'all were getting the crabs the big ones the stone crabs was that the Mandarin area? Thatt Marina and our new place is by on the east side a Blue roof dock we're next door to that
Tug, this brings back such very fond memories of my dad and I gigging for flounder just off the Isle of Palms, Charleston SC, circa 1966. We used a Coleman Lantern for a light. Thanks for the great memories and your great recipes.
Oh my sweet baby jesus in a tuxedo t-shirt that looks amazing!!!!! If I can manage to catch flounder ima try that recipe!! Great video buddy keep em comin!!!!
So cool, you definitely have a dam good eye spotting them, that's where I totally suck when it comes to gigging flounder! That light setup really did you right Ian,looked easy to make. Loved fishing for them at the ocean piers with the old bober, rubber band, and egg sinker. With some select shrimp. Lots of good memories from watching your vids as always, great job my friend!!!!!
