- A ton of tips and tricks about how to make credits in SWTOR! What to do with data crystals, heroics, and even tips for PvP credits. A little bit about playing the GTN and the cartel market too.
Keep in mind these tricks will likely be different when 5.0 Knights of the Eternal Throne rolls around.

UPDATES for 5.0
KNIGHTS OF THE FALLEN EMPIRE
- Heroics have been downgraded, but are still a good way to earn credits.
- Warzone commendations no longer exist. Warzone commendation decorations have been converted to decorations you can buy simply with credits.
- Warzone dailies and weeklies now offer a bonus reward on top of their extra credit reward. Make sure to sell any crafting materials you get from your daily and weekly reward on the GTN!
- Conquest rewards are a great way to earn credits.
- Crystal currency no longer exists. It got converted into credits when 5.0 rolled around. You can no longer buy crystal currency items on Odessen.

Just wanna tell a story :D I once role played as a Bounty Hunter offering to help lowies with their PvE enemies they could not handle, or even other players later. It was a very fun game, people even payed for that and I later payed another Hunter/Mercenary for the same reasons. It was really a fun way to role play, I can really recommend carying this ingame culture on. Not for the money but for the great RP opportunity...
Lately you dont need the help. With the overpowered companions it is easy to solo group contents
Yeah the game got nerfed so hard, I lost the fun about a year ago or two, some months after F2P had hit the game.

I used to be in a guild that was based on making credits. Some of the people there have a couple billion

before kotet and such i was repeating heroics since the monster drop tons of credits. I was doing the merc one on Voss since there was a Champion level boss that dropped a blue item each time. good profit, just dont forget to abandon your quest and take it back for another round and I main pub so the Imp counterpart is unknown to me. The other place that was incredible for aoe farming was illum. There an open world heroic there that has a nice respawn rate for the monster but usually theres people farming there so dont expect to be lonewolf. Flashpoints for level 50 was a thing back then but now they are separated into master veteran difficulties so probably running veteran FPs with a fully geared 70 toon could be another option since the credit drops are pretty similar to the heroics.

Hey! This video is pretty old but mostly still the same - do heroics, do conquest, and sell everything you get especially crafting materials on the GTN!

Just sold a batch (I think it was a stack of 50) of Grade 2 crafting mats for just over 2 million credits, so that method definitely works. :)

my toons are coated in rare items because i got them when cartel market first came out..and they are no longer available..so i have toon wearing stuff i see pop up on GTN now for 50-200 million credits..wish i could unbind my shit and sell it lol..especially of toons i no longer play.
Haha! I get this kind of regret too... I hoarded lots of items like you did, but I use them on my new characters.. then suddenly they don't look as good as I wanted them too, so I wish I hadn't used it!
Just out of curiosity, how do you manage to get so many referrals (I assume, unless those tens of thousands were actually purchased) without linking to it on your videos? :o It's a lot classier and yet still seems to work out for you haha
I made one video instead of linking/mentioning it every video :) I like it better that way, so those of you who don't need it are not spammed every 5 seconds about it, and people who don't even know about it can still find out about the free stuff!
Hey Swtorista, totally not on top of the topic of the vid, but how did you use Blade Dance on jedi guardian when you talked about heroics?
It's an old video I don't think they have it anymore.
Easiest way for me is: Archeology,Artiface and Treasure Hunting. Make blue crystals, sell for 50K, profit.

Artifice crafted color crystals are purple bordered, meaning a F2P or Preferred player would need to spend Cartel Coins on "Authorization: Artifact Equipment" to be able to use them (2700 for account unlock). This greatly limits the number of customers you'd have. Those players will just buy a green bordered lightsaber for peanuts and remove its color crystal. The only exception is for colors that can't be found in drops, like purple, but most people only want blue or red.
Darn shame about the downgrades, and the Dailies. :( Still a great MMO to play with family and friends, IMHO of course. 👍💪🏆

Do you still have to be preffered or subscried to get annything?
If you are not subscribed you will have a credit limit (200,000 for free to play, 350,000 for preferred)

If you're looking to make credits, the weekly heroic quests form the fleet are way better.

That is called FLOURISH it is very expensive on the gtn.. and it is different per class or at least per weapon. IDK if the agent would look the same, sorry!

There is a Legacy unlock for Odessen. You don't have to do Chapter IX of KOTFE to get to Odessen.

@Swtorista So what I heard from what you said is be careful what. you buy on the cartel market buying the right un buyable. Items on the cartel market can make you a ton of credits. Am I right? heart if you agree. :)
I bought one of those cartel bundles to try it out. Got 24million in sales from the tat in it.

What about selling Cartel Coins directly for creds?
You can't sell them directly, but you definitely can make deals with friends - they offer you credits for an item on the cartel market, then you buy it, wait for the timer, and trade with them. This requires having cartel coins tho :p

Can you redo this video for 5.3? While this is awesome none of the currency atleast as far as PvE is concerned seems to fit anymore. I know you might have other videos in the works but I think we all want that nice picket fence and those green grass lawns to admire with our money from your guides :)

Or you can just run a Story Mode FP at Level 70 and sell a piece of Masterwork gear on the GTN for 1 mil

You didn't mention the most important virtue in making credits - not spending on useless and pointless stuff :)
Hehehe. Depends what your goal of making credits is! Some people try to get a big number - like 10 million or 1 billion. Others make credits to spend them. Personally I rarely keep more than 5 million at any time because I like having rare items instead.
