Q1: Rather than inserting the needle into the median cubital vein, she punctured through the bicipital aponeurosis into the brachial artery (specifically at its termination site) Q2: To measure the arterial BP, the student can ask the patient to flex his elbow joint, and the student will have to find the surface landmark which is the tendon of the bicep. He will then place the stethoscope medially to the tendon so he is above the brachial artery. Q3: Apply compression on the brachial artery at the middle of the medial side against the humerus.

Q 1.. The nurse made an injury to the brachial artery that lies deep to the bicipital aponeurosis. Q 2.. I should put my stethoscope medial to the biceps tendon(the landmark) , on the brachial artery. I should ask the patient to flex his forearm against resistance so that I can make a palpitation to the biceps tendon. Q 3.. I should compress proximal to the point of injury at the middle of the medial surface of the arm against the shaft of the humerus.
The answer of interactive Q: اول سؤالين يتلخصوا ان The pressure =brachial artry Intravenous injection =median cubital vein This means that in the first Q , the injection was in brachial artry not median cubital vein In the 2Q , the medical student should ask the patient to make flexion in the elbow and cross his finger in the cubital fossa to find the tendon of biceps. He should put stethoscope medial to this point . Q3:you should make pressure on the proximal part of brachial artry or axillary artry before his branches .this pressure is against the bone
Contents of cubital fossa from medial to lateral: My blood turn red My: median nerve Blood: brachial vein and brachial artery Turn:tendon of biceps Red: radial nerve
1_the injection had penetrated the brachial artery rather than the median cubital vein . 2_first ask the patient to flex his elbow joint then palpate the brachial artery medial to the tendon of biceps . 3_Immediately compression at the middle part of the arm against the shaft of the humerus .
First of all i wanna thank you for your great efforts in teaching us ربنا يجعله في ميزان حسناتك Secondly i bought your mcq book and it helped me alot but i have 2 questions 1- in page 24 Q25 (basilic vein is also medial to brachial artery) 2- in page 27 Q 11 ( musculocutaneous nerve and ulnar nerve aren't true contents too)
Answers to the interactive questions : Q.1: the nurse injected the brachial artery instead of the median cubital vein Q.2: The student should put the stethoscope on the brachial artery in the cubital fossa hence he should ask the patient to flex his elbow against resistance and then put the stethoscope on the middle of the tendon of the biceps. Q.3: to stop the haemorrhage one should press on the brachial artery proximally away from its branches against the shaft of the humerus
1/ She pierced the bicipital aponeurosis and injected in the termination part of the brachial artery which led to this . 2/ the med student will ask the patient to do a flexion to the elbow and put the stethoscope medial to the tendon of biceps on the brachial artery(land mark). _thanks doctor i'm grateful.💜
question 3 we have to press the brachial artery toward the humerus so the bleed can stop like you said like pressing the water hose to stop the water pressure.
Q1/the nurse injected the brachial artery And this cause the ischemia Q2/the student should ask the patient to flex his elbow against resistance and put the stethoscope medial to the tendon of the biceps above the brachial artery Q3/you should compress the brachial artery against the humerus at the middle of medial aspect of arm to stop bleeding until reach the hospital
Q2; The student will ask the patient to flex his elbow joint, then he will find landmark which is the bicipital tendon in the cubital fossa .He will place his stethoscope medially to the bicipital tendon to measure arterial blood pressure against brachial artery next to tendon. Q3Apply compression on brachial artery against shaft of the humerus at middle part of the medial side of arm
Q1. The injection occurs at the brachial a. Which is collapsed by the chemicals which are irritant to the artery leading to ischemia in the distal forearm. Q2. The student should put the stethoscope medial to the tendon of the biceps and to get the tendon of the biceps accurately & easily the student should ask the patient to do a flexion of the forearm . Q3. In this case we must stop the bleeding rabidly by pressing strongly at the middle of the medial side of the arm by our hands or using a rope.
