my other 2 wands have custom tubes in it as well and all exposed. no issues so far! there is a 3d printed part you can download to stick in if you want tho. it just needs to be scaled down to fit the redman tube specifically
4:35 I cannot for the life of me get the barrel from mine to lift up and off. I've removed the screws holding it in place, as well as unplugged the wires, but it will not budge. It almost feels like I'm going to snap the body before it moves. Is this common/known issue with some wands, and is there a solution to get it free without damaging anything?
Are you able to get it up at all? Even a little? As long as you removed the screw holding it down it should come off. I. My video I had a bit of trouble at the very end of it but as long as you pull straight up it should be fine. I haven’t heard of it being glued down or anything
@@jonogunn It will not budge at all. There was/still is a thick thick adhesive (as well as piece of tape) used to hold down the wires that run from the barrel to the motherboard, I'm wondering if the same adhesive goop was slopped down underneath my barrel. I'm going to try heating it up in hopes it comes loose. For reference I have later produced Spenglers Wand with the orange tip
@@Sleikis becareful when heating it up. you may not tell but you could warp the plastic. i did that once and i didn't notice until after the fact. my suggestion at this point is to post in one of the haslab groups with a pic/video and ask. you'll get better help there
@@jonogunn I finally managed to remove it. I used a hair dryer instead of a heat gun as to not over heat it. There was indeed a small amount of adhesive applied to the notch on the barrel where it locks in with the body of the wand (though not the same adhesive they used on the wiring as I suspected).
great tutorial video! clear and easy to follow
thank you brother!
Great video. I ordered mine a while back and I'm hoping the tube will be shipped soon 👍
thanks! from his most recent update he's getting through the orders just slowly with so much to deal with on his own. but it'll come!
I want one but am not sure about the exposed end, but honestly if you aren't worried about it then let's gooooo.

@@jonogunnthanks for the info (and the video!)
A winner is you!
What is this for? Is the normal tube bad?

@@Sleikis is it the rounded part where the barrel slots into the wand body?
Hey, do you have any more of those EZ-LOK inserts left? I just need one, no need for a pack.
Is this for the Spengler kit or something else?
Yeah, the brass threaded insert you installed @ 19:28.
@@tetsujin420 if it's for the spengler tube I'd suggest asking Redman if he can send you one assuming you are in the US. I'm in Canada
