I think it has to do with his personal relationships with them, and how much they Bend over backwards for him.
Dana needs to check his ego at this point. I hope the fans speak up and let it be known that Cyborg is still the female goat, has accomplished way more than Nunes, and deserves a rematch.

It depends on style of fighter and damage taken. Watch Penns fights he fought much bigger men took much bigger damage , guy brawled with Nick diaz ffs and fought machida. Guys like Cormier, Maia and Romero come from excellent wrestling and bjj backgrounds which help them avoid damage. And guys like Maia don't rely on athletics and speed..same with boxing guys like Roy jones Jr burnt out quick cause he relied on his amazing evasive skills and speed. Cormier and Romero started the sport late to.

Dana’s trying to act like Cris is finished or not worthy of rematch. If not her who else? Interesting the classiest and most gracious people at the post fight conference was Cris and Alex. No knock on the in ring performance of Jon or Amanda they were great tonight.

If it was a close decision I would be for that. And before you say well she defended it multiple times. Remember what they did to Stipe. I think they need to gove Megan Anderson another fight, probably Cyborg and the winner could fight Amanda after she defends the 135 belt again.

John Jones has a special ability to not crack under pressure while having all of these things going one, im pretty sure that is a psychopath.
The sole fact that the UFC had to MOVE THE WHOLE CARD because LasVegas wouldnt sanction it says it all. Sorry to break it, but in a sports sense it doesn't matter how low the test result was. Also, Jones will never be P4P best now, he tarnished his legacy from suspension 1 and ultimately blew it.

I thought Jones started off strong, I didn't see him starting out slow? Jones has never been a strong offensive fighter. He always paces himself, and doesn't ever gas himself out with explosive offense. Gus didn't seem to be trying to do much, and he was the slow one. But I guess he got injured early on in the fight. I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch, if that's true. There aren't many people that will give Jones a fun fight. Gus and Jones has a lot of potential for a better fight next time. On a side note: Jones vs. Romero seems like a requirement. Concrete against Concrete. Everyone has had to "fight" Romero, haha. Honestly, Romero is one of the top 3 fighters in the 185, 205 and heavyweight division. I can't see any of the heavyweights beating him, other than Cormier.

Here is double standard: Dana says that Alexander needs to win a couple of fights before the title fight. Conor gets title shot any time he fights. How can Connor get title.shot after the last fight??? Jones gets title shot every time after he gets caught doping...Esentialy they enable doping - every time they let Jones fight for the title after he has been suspended...This is sport because it is an athletic event, but it is certainly not legitimate competitive plain field. I get it, it is all about the $, but so are other pro sports, but they have a structure as how can you win or get to the top....UFC has been going down and continue to do so despite Dana's narative that it is not.

When I saw Mark Goddard was reffing Nunes vs Cyborg I was kind of dissapointed he wouldnt be reffing the main event. He is and has been the best ref for a while.
