Great video Dari! The countryside looked amazing! Great to see you enjoying your time with family and friends. Hope all went well with your passport. Stay strong!
Dari, I agree with your feelings about Moscow. Where you ultimately want to live though comes down to two things: budget and quality of life. Finding it that balances both of your requirements isn’t easy. New York gives you everything you want but its expensive. I won’t insult you that you should live some place cheap but more realistically, I think it should be a balance between what your needs/wants are and affordability. A city abroad like Moscow that has it, would make you happy! Best wishes. 😊

Good video showing your visit. You give the wrong impression that from NYC, you cant find clountry side. You are driving tlhree hours. For three hour drive you could go to Catkill Mountlains and even places closer for scenic views, countryside and fresh air. People own cabins, cottages or even small 2nd house. Or you can rent cabins, get camp site. USA didnt have the dacha system. During USSR, pepple got dashas. Some built small shacks, some just gardened. Now, you have to buy the dasha and land. Usually abandoned for years, the descendents of first owners are selling. People can afford vacations, flying overseas. Without food shortages of the past, not many people want gardens to grow vegetables and fruit.
Hi, I think I’ll spend a full day or more just enjoying your metro system both above and below ground from everything positive you have described about it! Thank you for putting Lucky in this video. Nice to see him so vibrant. And finally, Dasha, I need your help mowing my lawn! aha. I bought a new riding mower last year and it broke after 2 uses and has been in the repair shop for 3 months so far this year … and lastly, omg, nothing beats the Bolshoi theater. Amazing video. So beautiful there. It seems that many if not most citizens of Moscow have a very good life. How do you think the lifestyle there compares to most citizens across Russia? Certainly hope you get that visa!
Many people from small towns in Russia want to relocate to Moscow because they want to make more money. Moscow has the best jobs, health care, quality of life, and it is developing constantly. The rest of the country is crumbling. The big difference between the US and Russia is that each state has their own laws and one can have many possibilities at home and the taxes are used for the needs of people who live there. In Russia everything is centralised. Moscow sucks up the resources from all the areas in the country. They work hard and constantly pay dues to Moscow so big people in Moscow can have the best of everything .
Dari, U was wondering about your dachau. I remember the video you made about it a few years ago. What do you call Lucky in Russian? What is his Russian name. It looks beautiful over there.

Great video - so nice to see what Moscow it like. It looks very clean and beautiful and quite European. The bureaucracy involved with getting visas is so stressful. Here in the UK, we did not have to worry about it for Europe until....Brexit....which was utterly pointless and has made everything so much more difficult and expensive for no reason.
