    A friend of mine was looking for his next Samsung TV. He looked around at many youtube videos and came across your videos on it. Because of your reviews and since you have the settings in your member videos. He told me he will become a member as he just bought the tv yesterday.

    Thanks for the review, just got a PS5 for Xmas so it’s time to finally upgrade from my ancient Panasonic plasma TV. It’s nice to hear that the speakers are good so a soundbar isn’t absolutely necessary.

    I went from a Samsung AU 8000 to the S90C and it blows my mind I'm playing PS5 on it That's really why I got the TV cuz I needed 120 Hertz and ALM and all that shit and it's incredible it brings the games to life like when you're playing GTA v like the water puddles like if you're going by the sun the sun gets in your eyes it's like unbelievable makes everything look better The color reproduction is incredible it's just an insane TV I'm sure eventually when I get used to the TV I'll find little nitpicky things but for right now the TV's amazing

    Wow, great review. I literally just got my s90 Wed and hooked it to my Alienware 4090 which i bought for Xmas. The 144hz is why I have Samsung a shot after I was happy with LG oled C1 few years back.
    I was skeptical leaving LG, but your review completed validated my initial impressions.
    Only of heard your last year through AM controversy. But I'm subbed now. You're thorough and concise, keep up the great work!

    Super helpful review! Unless the S95C goes on sale when the new models drop in a month or so, it’s likely I’ll be going with this one in a 65 inch. I’m 60/40 movies to gaming, which had me initially considering the G3 for a while, but the colour vibrancy along with the other benefits of having QD OLED at this price point seems way too good to pass up 🤷🏻‍♂️😅

    Two things, I notice the color and brightness are better when on the ps5 vrr and 120htz are turned off, also if you turn off deep color and turn it back on the hdr image has way more pop

    Really curious about the streamed cable tv performance. Seems like a slam dunk for HD and gaming. I might have to go C3 for the most common use case

  • @deetsitmeisterjd
    @deetsitmeisterjd ปีที่แล้ว +8

    On a budget I got the QN90C, too many situations where even if burn in is not an issue anymore, I play way too many games for long periods of time with static UI.
    Coming into buying a new TV, I was set on the C3, but my last LG had annoying issues and I know people have said Samsung is less reliable than LG. But one of my first LCD Tv's, a Samsung was flawless and I think it's the only TV I've ever had that's "died of old age" that tbing was like 12 years old.

    Thanks for the video, been waiting for this one. Out of S90C, C3 and A80L which would you recommend for strictly movies and sports (soccer, hockey and football), no gaming at all on it. Fairly bright room but I close the shades during the day and it's dark at night. Thanks again and keep the good content coming. Forgot to add, i use a 4k Fire stick or Apple TV 4k for most of my viewing.

      I have the 77 inch S90C in my bedroom and an A80L in the home theater. For sports, I’d definitely recommend the Sony. Sony just has absolutely unbeatable motion processing and upscaling. Samsung only looks good if the scene isnt moving crazy fast. That being said, the Samsung will have far superior color compared to the A80L since the Sony is just a regular WOLED. If you want, quantum dots with Sony processing you have to splurge for the A95L which is a Sony QDOLED (that’s uses Samsung panels.) but last I checked, it was $5000 for the 77 inch version while the S90C in 77 inches was only $2300. Literally less than half the price. So you have a big decision on your hands!

    This TV I just got it Saturday The S90C and it's unbelievable this TV is ridiculous it brings everything to life I wish they weren't $1,500 but it was well worth the money I got the 55-inch I didn't need anything bigger than that and also I put the govy backlight three on the back of the TV to match and it's unbelievable All of it together makes it sick The only thing I would say I don't really care for is how thin the TV is it doesn't need to be that thin but everybody that seen my TV is like oh my god how how is it that then and I'm like it's just on the top it's then but on bottom it's houses all the computer stuff but this TV is fast smooth crazy man if you're on the fence don't be buy it

      I am on the same boat as you and I am going to get the Samsung. I believe I can trust them more than Hisense to last. The reliability is making me hesitate with the Hisense. I bought an inexpensive 49 inch Sony in 2018 and its still going strong. Not sure I am confident I would say the same thing about the Hisense or TCL.@@IWAnimations14

    I have an LG C6. While I love it for watching 3D Blu-ray's like the recent Avatar Way of Water release. I was limited in PC gaming to 4K60 with no VFR. After experiencing 120hz on my PC monitor I could not go back, especially with an Nvidia 4090. Amazon just dropped the 55" S90C to $1297. That is cheaper than what I paid for the C6 in 2016. I clicked buy and they offered the unbox and setup with instant return if I am not satisfied. I saw the S90C demoing Encanto in BestBuy and it blows away my C6 in the colors department. Early OLED was all about matching Plasma contrast. These new QD-OLEDs are truly next gen. The C6 is getting the royal treatment and will be mothballed for those times I want to enjoy my extensive 3D collection. Excited to fire up Cyberpunk2077 on this bad boy.

    • @troy1193
      @troy1193 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm a C6 owner too. Love the curved screen with passive 3D. Sadly, the screen is blotchy with burn in, so it is time to upgrade. I'm either going with a s90c or an A80L, whichever 77" hit's $2000 first. Like you, not ditching the C6, it's getting relegated to the loft and becoming the kids TV, just can't let go of that fantastic TV just yet.

    Hi Q!, I currently have a 75” Sony Z9D and want to upgrade to an 83” OLED. My usage consists on streaming movies most of the time and a few 4K Blu-rays only. No gaming at all. The Samsung Woled 83” S90C is currently on clearance for $2,599 at Best Buy. Do you think I should get it? The S90C is great with brightness but the upscaling and processing on the Sony A80L for sports is and movies is what sold me. The C3 just works and runs games flawlessly. Hey Quantum, I’m looking at X93L, A80L, S90C, and C3. I love your reviews and comments. I know all the above TVs will look great with high quality sources, but I’ve been leaning strongly towards Sony for the processing, love Sony’s clean, depth images and its amazing ability of upconverting/cleaning up lower sources like TH-cam, etc., which I watch the most, but hesitate because of your strong negative comments about Sony, as I value your point of view. Given what’s most important to me, would you recommend any of the above two Sony’s, or recommend something else? Your comments would be greatly appreciated. Also, do you have calibration settings for both the X93L and A80L? Does the S90C upconvert/process low quality well, or not so much? Also, how do I join your membership? Many thanks.

    Question for Q. If we get your settings are they for the gen 1 or gen 2? I've got a 77" gen 2 coming.

    I haven't signed up to be a member yet. I know you have s90c calibration settings but is there anything for S95c? I may get that instead of the S90C and wondering if you don't have it for the S95c. Can the S90c calibration settings work for S95c?

    after inputting your settings, the tv is amazing. Paid $2098 + taxes CAD for a 65". Hands down best tv for the money at the moment. Price to performance is unmatched.

    Q thank you for the SDR and HDR settings, but i did get creative with your SDR settings for my 77 inch S90C.., when you did yours it was on the previous firmware, and you did it on eco mode.. hence the new firmware update at 1220 the eco mode was very dim.., so i did the HDR settings on standard mode and also i did the SDR settings on standard mode and they both look awesome.. again thanks brother appreciate you…

    I have one question about the motion smoothing technics. I know many people dont like it, but i love smoothing games like the soap opera effect. How will this TV especially perform with 30fps games like starfield. With or without game motion plus. Will it be smooth like butter with acceptable artifacts? I come from an quite old sony tv and it did a great job. Now i'm looking for an upgrade and allready testet a Sony 89K Led and a LG Qned816RE and i was really dissapointet in the de judder quality in smootheness and artifacts on shows and gaming. What is your experience with the smoothenes in general and specific with 30fps games?

    Quantum, do you feel that the 77” S90C will perform the same as the S95C with regard to image quality and color temperature given the panel and internal hardware is the same?

    • @JGQ01
      @JGQ01 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I heard since the 77 inch has the same panel it’s close to the same experience. The S95C might be slightly brighter in some scenes. The TVs would have to be side by side to notice.

      @@JGQ01facts I have the S90C 77inch and it’s practically the same very slight differences and the S95C has better speakers, but who uses TV speakers anymore I bought the Q990C Dolby Atmos, surroundsound by Samsung which is better than any TV speakers lol

    Very informative and honest review and because there is a discount in my country for the s90c 55" 920euros 65"1367euros and for the s95c 55'" 1019euros 65" 1499euros i would like to ask if there an issue regarding "raised blacks - grayish" when you have the TV in a lit room. Is it really a thing? thanks in advance.

    I've got the s90c and I'm experiencing noticeable audio lag which I I can't seem to fix because of this I find movies/series unwatchable, has the TV you tested have this issue or could I possibly have a defective tv?
