Metric/ decimal measurement disc is probably when we changed to metric so it's easier /quicker to find equivalent. Us 'oldies' still work in feet and iches rather than metres etc. May be from the 1970's . Love your charity shop. hauls

Just a suggestion for your voile curtain- think about using a tea bag in warm water in the bowl. The result is a more natural antigue colour- just be careful and don't leave it in there for too long! Good luck x
Cats always love to expose their tummy to the sun. When my cat does this, I always say to her “Belly in the air, like ya just don’t care!” 🐾 ❤️
The "urn" is actually an scaled down milk churn. A container for milk when it was collected from the farm.
I have worked in 5* hotels .... Toilet rolls should definitely hang with paper at the front .I love seeing your new finds, almost as much as getting mine😊 I think. Black paint for the hand rail on the stairs would look good. X
Quick idea from the stair handrail and post.
Spindles in and post in white, handrail could be stained dark wood or painted the same colour as the doors. This makes changing the colour easier when you fancy a change, as all the troublesome bits can remain white.
Stairs - you might consider rubber stair mats (individual for each stair) as they prevent slipping and also cut down on noise. Also, you can find special paint which is very hard-wearing (used for auditoriam floors, etc)
Mr. C. Excellent mirror above fireplace looks brilliant. I would paint your stairs that blue of the doors just a thought. I always have an emergency banana so totally love your mention. TV looks good. My cat Harley loves a laser toy, mine is a mouse only about £2. Mittens and pumpkin are stunning and loving cats. They clearly love you. Great vlog.
I think the loft staircase would look good painted the same color as the bedroom and bathroom doors. The big mirrors look great (and thumbs up for the way the chandelier reflects in the over-mantel mirror) and love, love love those German candle holders. Congrats on the nail biting--that's a triumph!
As usual I love to see the kittens, they are getting so big! I'm in love with them, and I'm saying this while Molly, one of my three cats is laying on my lap. I really loved the red shirt, and the big mirror looks fab.
Please let us see the roof garden again, I love that space, even though it's just you watering the plants.
I would also love a vlog on a daily routine, like breakfast, grocery shopping, playing with the kittens, some work, a walk around the neighbourhood or whatever you usually do. 😊

The towel around the fire alarm reminded me of a Friend's episode where Phoebe struggles with it to stop bleeping even after taken the batteries off and the fire man bringing it back after she threw it away but involved in her blanket which was named after her hahaha only Pheebs

It's in the shape of a milk can and those homes are scattered all over the mountains.

My New Year's Eve party was beyond Fabulous! Cranberry martinis in a cooler with a spigot and the "House" drink that night was Espresso Martinis! OMG so good! 😋
I met so many nice people and it was a glitzy affair.
3 ladies and 2 young men flew in from New York,; all are models. Good meeting them all.
Charcuterie board in the kitchen was enormous and my friend has the event catered. All sorts of good things but my favorite were the salmon sushi rolls. I can't wait to see more of your wonderful vlogs! Take care ♥️ your friend in Kansas City, Tom.

Lovely charity shop finds! The two candle holders are my favorite item. You can dye polyester with tea if you want it a bit "less white".
Those German candle holders must shine beautifully lit, as they are stunning unlit! Great find!
Also, I've taken a single curtain panel cut in half length wise and hemmed with no sew iron on tape. It looks lovely over the window itself. Place in a longer rod stretched over either side of the window over the wall. I makes the window look much wider! I do this with sheers over the window and panels over the walls, and they look much more expensive!
Love the metric converter! From the 1970s when metric was introduced, so people would find the imperial measure in the window, and find the metric equivalent (pre-Google! 😄)

I think the little disc you have is just a handy conversion wheel from imperial to metric possibly dating back to the 60s or 70s. People in the UK worked from imperial measurements back then until we changed over to metric (some of us still do - l can’t weigh out baking ingredients in kilograms!) so the converters were given away by shops and businesses at the time. This company were probably taking advantage of an advertising opportunity!

You may very well dye the curtain with the pompoms in a bath with strong tea. Or if you want to get it more yellow, a bath with onion peels.

Laser pointers are fun. But dangerous for the eyes. As long as they don't turn and look at it. Jackson Galaxy is a great TH-cam cat guy
@@LindainGermany they also disable any CCTV camera if you point it directly at the lense . Burglar gangs are using them for that .

Happy Sunday Mr C, Pumpkin and Mittens. I've started my To-Do list this morning, it's a lovely day down here in Devon...I always feel happier to be busy when the weather is good. When it's cold, grey and miserable I just want to stay in with a cuppa and watch TV.
That side table is gorgeous, as was the kitten patting your face :) those converters (the round thing with numbers on) used to be really popular. My husband used to use one when he was working (back in the day!)

Love the mirror you hung over the mantle. Mirrors are great for making a room look bigger and hallways longer. The blue Delft tiles are really pretty and unique.I used to have a nice collection of it but I ended up giving it to one of my sisters because it really didn’t look that great with my coastal decor and most of it was dishes from the depression era. The side table was a great find and the candle holder for the rooftop garden is very pretty. You found so many nice things. Can’t wait to see your pound land haul.
