My personal favourite Batsuit is the one from Arkham Knight. I just love how it looks both true to the comics but also is super hi-tech and it also looks very intimidating.
vdashgaming he actually deserves more, the Bob Kane design was a red suit with a mask and wings, Bob Kane was a bit of a twat in reality Bill Finger deserves the majority of the credit
@@georgefloyd9084 absolutely right George Floyd bob kane was pretty much garbage that took credit for everything while bill finger died alone and uncredited for all the work he put into Batman if not for him current/ modern day Batman woukd not exist
You know, as much as I like the lore and the presentation I think that photos of those costumes from time to time could make this videos much much better. Not everyone lisening to this have read all the comic books and are such a fanboy as you are so around 90% of the time people like me have no idea what you are talking about without presenting an image of the respective suit.
James Ramirez Yeah, something like that. Or just stop ade gamplay video for a bit, show the foto and then come back to the gameplay. That would make this video way more informative for those like us. And I am sure the true fans would also pareciate it because hey, we are humans and we forget.
I learned that Batman's New 52 Armor is bassically the DC equivalent of the Iron Man Mark 42 Suit. A portable walking anti mostly everything shield. God I used too many adjectives.
Wow the Batsuit is incredible. From a Spandex with bullet proof to bullet proof material with elemental protection that is fantastic, Being light heavy and very durable is interesting. I loved watching Batman the Animated Series on Fox kids then on kidsWB, the human aspect was interesting. This video is very educational Kwing.
If I were writing Batman, it would look like the Animated Series suit, and the only armor would be the boots, gauntlets, helmet, and a bulletproof vest underneath
Actually Bob Kane didn't even come up with the first Gray and purple gloves suit, it was Bill Finger. The first ever Batman drawn by Kane was wearing a red suit with no gloves and black underwear. He had actually had a domino mask and blond hair, no capes, just black wings. Way to go.
fun fact bro: michael keaton's batman masked originally supposed to had gas into it if it was ever removed it was written in both sam hamm's batman 1989 and batman 2(returns) first draft but it didn't make it to the final cut.
I love how much you work on these and research and get your facts, I really do respect how much work you put in on these. I love your videos and I love learning about Batman
Scott Adkins as Batman - real martial artist and actor, can really do acrobatic moves on his own. That man there is the real Batman. Great video and thanks for the history!
Art style-wise, I've been partial to both Tim Sale's (The Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Haunted Knight), and Bruce Timm's take on the Dark Knight. But in terms of the actual Batsuit, I do agree that the animated series has a more relatable take on Batman, making him taking down criminals all the more impressive! However, my favourite overall is either Year One's or Long Halloween's batsuits, mainly due to having a little bit of armour, but not enough to hinder him in his movement. Hey, as the saying goes: less is more!
While I agree with you Kwing that a down to Earth humanized Batman is best, I really do like a heavily armored Batsuit cause it makes more sense to me and I feel as though there are better ways to the humanized Bat then that.
I didnt know that the New 52 Bat suit was so versatile. Being able with stand extreme heat and extreme cold with one suit! All though I did always like how he previously had a different suit/gadget for any situation.
I like arkham Knight's edition of the new 52 suit better than the origins one actually. It's more uncanny but still believable for the Arkham games style. The colors are less grayed and weathered and more vibrant, which does it a favor. the armor plating is amazing
Old ish video but I prefer the more techy type batsuit because it gives Batman an edge against foes that are..unique and might think Batman is pathetic. While I love the animated Series, I realize he was limited due to perception of a *kid friendly show* even though at times it....really wasn't.
I learned a lot, and especially found the point of why he had the yellow bat symbol on his chest interesting. For another video, can you do a video on how exactly detective vision works?
In the Beware the Batman series, Deathstroke was able to touch Batmans belt without being zapped or gassed. However, in Arkham Knight DLC, the belt is shown to zap those who touch it, if I recall correctly.
Thank you for that wonderful information I did not know that and I'm very happy that you told me about it K Wing I am clearly watching the Batman animated series right now and I'm on episode 4 I am enjoying watching I'm watching can u do a video on Nightwings suit in the new 52 am very interested to see you what it's about.
When you mentioned Bob Kane... I was so happy that you didn't say Batman was created by him. It really bothers me when people blindly say that without knowing the true origins of Batman. So, I take it you know what Bob Kane went to his editor with when he was told to come up with another super hero?
No one will know the truth about Batman's creation since all parties are dead now. Their are no facts, just speculation. Two sides to every story. Fans remember Fingers Ghost Writing for Batman, (which he stole most stories from the Shadow almost word for word) Yet, forget he was a lazy Drunk. Still he was responsible for co creating the Green Lantern.
kNIGHTWING01 So you do know more about it than the average reader, impressive. Your Arkham videos is what got me to subscribe, love the videos and keep up the good work. Can't wait for Arkham Knight, by the way... what are you looking forward to the most about it?
kNIGHTWING01 That would be nice, since in the last two Recksteady games he was only in challenge maps, so it only makes sense for him to be in the main story mode and at some point playing as him. I hope the same for Robin too, especially for Tim Drake, it would be neat to play as Jason Tood Robin, but I prefer playing as Red Hood. I wish they would come out with a game where you get to make a prototype suit that players create within the game, you put it on about halfway into it, then upgrading it along the way so by the end of the game it's no longer a prototype. but I doubt that'll happen anytime soon.
You are good. It reminds me of Kato in the Green Hornet movie, busting bad guys without looking. "When my heart pumps, it is like time slows down" - Kato
When it comes to the Batsuit, I think it's a struggle between being relatable and keeping the "superhuman" image of himself in the minds of his opponents
Kwing can you post some lores on the batsuits from Batman:Arkham City when you can because I would really like to learn more about some of those batsuits in the Arkham City skin pack. If you can kwing, please reply
Great video you should do one about all the different types of traing Batman received over the years he was away and how he uses those skills in the fight against crime
Bill Finger designed the first appearance batsuit, Bob Kanes original design was a guy in a red bodysuit domino mask and bat wings that looked like ballerina faerie wings... shame Bill Finger barely ever gets the credit he rightly deserves.
"a superstitious cowardly lot, no matter what they do they always get caught, their evil schemes knot to knot, a superstitious cowardly lot". I love that song off that episode of Batman Beyond (Season 3) I believe the episode was called "out of the past".
Great lore Kwing. I've got a couple of questions though. As we've seen in arkham origins there is another version of the batsuit. Is there any other version. The batsuit used to take down superman and the cold cold heart ones are all i know about. Also did any supervilllians try to assume the mantle of the bat? I was reading a batman encyclopedia the other day and it said that Hugo Strange and two face took on the role. Again thanks kwing. Your THE best! :-)
Paul Dini was brought in 8 episodes into the Animated Series. It was just Bruce Timm and Eric Radomski who made the suit I think. You can check me on that
Everyone always seems to forget Kilmer's (standard) batsuit had nipples too. So Clooney's outfit shouldn't get the flak for introducing those. What I didn't like about Clooney's was it was all one colour.
I liked this but it would have been better if you had thrown up an image of what you were talking about from time to time. I had to keep stopping the video and google everything you said.
I always though Batman took a page out of Blue Beetles book and had a special lock mechanic on his cowl that only opened up when he pushed his thumb (containing a secret microchip in the glove) against a special receptor on the jaw of the cowl.
Well now I can say officially that Bill Finger is the co-creator of Batman and it's come to light how much influence he really had. It's great that he's getting the recognition he deserves. Also, we're still waiting for that Utility Belt video. 😁
Add a yellow emblem to draw fire away from Robin. I don't know Batman maybe just make his suit Black or really really dark gray!!! Ha ha ha great video Kwing, just like the old days when I watched your earlier lore videos.
I had no idea that there was lead in batman's cape. That and the darts. Kwing, when are you going to do the one million skin? I know there is a glitch for you on Batman Arkham Origins, could you do the skin on Batman Blackgate
I like the more armored suits because if you're a mere mortal fighting crime and my rule was to not to kill and no guns, then I'd want as much protection as I could get.
this is way better than school
Ha that's true
Yup
Stay in school
His suit for Arkham Knight looks bad ass.

Bill Finger gets as much design credit for Batman as Bob Kane ever should. Give him some props.

God, wait until 2022. That batman is so bullet proof it feels like he's on god mode.

Love this video. I’d love one about his Utility Belt
Dang this video is 3 years old. I remember seeing this when it came out, and it is still cool and it informative to this day.

Hey now don’t underestimate nerds
When you have a job a nerd is deciding how much money you and your friends get
Kwing, the new 52 suit you're wearing in the video is using the Zero Year Batman utility belt and not the usual N52 one.
Kwing, will you ever do that Utility Belt video? Yeah, I really like your Lore videos.
In the Beware the Batman series, Deathstroke was able to touch Batmans belt without being zapped or gassed. However, in Arkham Knight DLC, the belt is shown to zap those who touch it, if I recall correctly.
Arkham City DLC, Harley Quinn's Revenge.
My favorite batsuit is the Michael Keaton's Batsuit, The Animated Series Batsuit and the Nolan's Batsuit.
His cowl is one of the most important things
I like the new adventures bat suit and noel batsuit and year one
What I learned about the batsuit is that if I touch his suit I get the feeling I'll wake up in the hospital after TWO days
I learned throughout the entire video. Thanks for posting it!

kNIGHTWING01 Can you do a Bat suits lore for the Arkham series?
Oh my god, I long for the days when Arkham Origins was the newest Arkham game
Those were the days. When we had an Arkham game to look forward to
I learned that Batman had all these ridiculous suits in the 1950's like the Zebra and Rainbow Batsuits.
