Fun fact: Kate's Forced ability counts for Research Notes, so you can play Magnifying Glass (1) and use its lightning bolt as another way to clue drop for the purpose of washing an asset and charging up Research Notes. And The Raven's Quill solves the handslot issue while also acting as a tutor for Research Notes and letting you activate Press Pass multiple times per turn (and acting as a +2 for research notes). And yes, dropping a clue with Mag Glass is a bit wonky since it's not getting you anything directly for dropping it. But in my experience when you have six actions a turn you run out of clue drop effects but still want to keep the engine going and picking up one clue isn't that big a deal Also worth mentioning: The Great Work from The Drowned City is another notable off-class her deckbuilding gets her that's sure to be a Kate staple
I've used "Fool Me Once" to deal with her weakness in the past but now I'm questioning if this was worth it. Thanks for the video will play with her again soon!
You can pay for the xp cost of buying Kirby with Miskatonic Funding instead of Charisma. Given her allies' stats & potential, you're likely only putting

This deck needs hunting jacket. That way you could put those useless signature event cards under it (where they belong) and have them make money. Then you take the weird science stuff and sell it to the underworld black market and help your friendly rouge
Tnx for the content! Am i missing something? How do you get + 5 to ALL tests? Since Flux Stab gives you + 2 to NEXT test,it doesn't work if you already taking test in mythos phase (since there's no lightning bolt window) If only your fellow investigator draws card with test and you in advance for your mythos card move clue for + 2, but there is s chance to waste it. And if you Lead inv thats doesn't work at all. Sorry if im wrong on this.
"Next test" means the effect applies to the current test if triggered before pulling tokens, and for the next test after the current one if triggered after pulling tokens. So Kate can use her lightning bolt in one of the two lightning bolt windows during a skill test to get the skill boost for that current test Edit: for some reason TH-cam keeps deleting my replies, but this interaction was confirmed by Duke and can also be found on the ArkhamDB page for Surprising Find
@@GuerricSamplesGames Wow.Thats super counterintuitive. So why they just didn't made usual text with "for this skill test"? Is there any rule for this or FAQ? Thanks in advance. Upd. The only thing i found is a developer's answer for fieldwork and is says it doesn't work if you move and trigger it during skill test (like pathfinder) to get bonus for this skill test.

She seems cool to tinker with. Don't have Hemlock Vale cards yet, but maybe one day she'll be played. So many characters to play.
Susi video when? (Subject 5u-21)
