Edit: have located an easily available trashcan that could be used in place of a bucket in case of school turning into a demon hellscape. Will judge very harshly if there is a group that holds it in and splits up to go to a "proper" bathroom instead.

This is exactly why I never messed with ouiji boards or summoning things by chanting at mirrors or doing weird rituals in cemeteries. Best case scenario, you just get to go around smugly proclaiming that it's all a bunch of bull. Worst case scenario, you open up a portal to Hell and invite untold amounts of evil into your life. Why risk that unless you absolutely have to? No, thank you.
Pretty sure best case scenario, YOU GET A DEMON BOYFRIEND, so uh, pretty worth it.

My cousin used an old one with his friends and actually got an infection from a splinter so yeah even if you don't get haunted you don't mess.

That actually happened to me last class of the day. Everyone left me i woke up and the my foot fell asleep as well. So im stumbling down the hall with a numb foot and my bus had already left.

See,what i learned from corpse party was:
1.Don't trust anyone.
2.Don't trust little children in a abandoned elementary school.
3.Never do a ritual with a group of people that really can't follow directions.
4.Pieces of paper are important.
5.Never leave my best friend behind.
6.NEVER and i mean Never put my faith on a bucket.
7.There are worth things than death itself.
Why that specifically?
You know, it's pretty amazing how Kat does a pretty good job of explaining why no one woke her up in just the few minutes she's terrorizing the school.
This game has a surprising amount of polish and detail at least as far as that first area of the school is concerned. Here's hoping that it holds up to that standard for the rest of it.

I played this just a bit ago. It’s very short. The runes don’t seem to hold any difference. What IS different is if you don’t steal the key. You get a smiley face on the blackboard. And if you cut your own hair, she’s more sympathetic. The girls don’t think you’re an douchebag. But the end game is the same.
The difference, I guess, is how everyone remembers you when you're gone -if they ever do remember you at all lol

Someone who wasn't sweet, didn't even care about cutting that girl's hair... it didn't even occur to her to cut her own. The one '???' girl warned her, "What if you end up condemning your soul to an eternity in the netherworld?" to which she just scoffed with a _que sera sera_ attitude. Then she turns out like the typical teenage girl with "I wanna go home." Should've thought about that before, honey.
Eh... she probably is just tough because she had a hard childhood, lost her father & is maybe looking for a way to contact him. Nice or not, this is a good popcorn game.
Apparently there is a choice for the protagonist to cut her own hair. There are surprisingly many choices which are diverse in this game.

It's fine, I just posted it so people who were interested would know about it. And yeah Kat does deserve this, I agree with. But that's the horror genre in a nutshell, people always act as if they have 0 IQ. I still like Kat though, because I find her personality to be a fresh breather compared to other horror RPGs I have seen.

@@nickirkland1347 Moving the ouija pointer is hard work, and if the board users fidget it gets harder because you have to fight their will and muscle movements.
Our protagonist here seems to be a quirky little shit, and I love that.

Given the demon's warning at the beginning, I wonder if there was a better way to collect the items for the ritual. Like, would it be possible to cut your own hair instead of the girl's? If you don't cut the girl's hair, would her friend give you the key to the theater club instead of you resorting to steal it? I am anxious to see other examples in this game.
I think there is- maybe if you can't cut off your own hair and still have to cut off some of the other girls, you can do so after you've obtained the theater club key, or cut the hair from the girl thats to the right since she's fidgeting with her bow. The board in the room said "thief" as well but you can get the curtains that are lying on the ground instead, and just take only the neccesairy chalk instead of all of them

Well, I tried myself... and yep, you can choose to cut your own hair and then ask for the key. In fact, if you do that the chalkboard in the theater club has a happy face and stars instead of the thief message. Another thing I noticed is that you can befriend the girls by talking to them and returning the key. I didn't notice any more changes in the ritual though... I suppose this will have more serious consequences in the future.
You actually can cut your own hair, if you use the scissors when not standing next to one of the girls. But that also may be the "bad" way depending on how you look at things, like for example maybe something will happen to the one who's hair was burned, and it would kill you at a later point if you choose to do it. But if it does, that would you be ok with the girl being sacrificed? It's hard to know what's the good or wrong way to do things here... I don't know more than that - I only know about the choice actually being there. And I'm pretty sure you can ask for the keys if you didn't cut the hair. In a similar fashion, I know you can either take off the curtains in the theater room like Manly did, or you can pick up the ones folded on the ground.

Maybe one of the girl will come (as a ghost/spirit/demon?) to kill,maybe even torture,her ?
Considering the game subject about « actions and consequences ».
Also,rituals often tell you that you should use YOUR OWN blood/hair ; not others’ unless they play too (and use their too) ; i guess that if you don’t (listen to the rule) the ritual won’t work,or maybe the girl would come with you ????? Considering how you used HER hair (but since we are playing Kat and *she* did the ritual,it kind of make sense she end up being (the only one) sent here).
Maybe in this case,if she had used *her own hair* the game would’ve gone « easier on her » ?

I love that Kat is so unique compared to other protag girls of this genre. Chaotic neutral energy
Hmm, the person at the beginning literally warned you that your actions have consequences even if you don't know which small actions will trigger those consequences.
They also warned you that even if the answer may seem obvious, there's always another way. The most obvious thing? Cut the girls hair, steal the keys..... manly is already going full force into the trap. My guess is the alternative is to cut your own hair and to befriend/borrow the keys.

When I saw this video myself, I knew I had to play it myself first. Holy hell, I felt like at every second something would jump out. I wanted to get out at any time, but I couldn't do anything but move forward myself. Damn good prologue.

If he was a true Trekkie he'd know that the blue shirts had red undershirts all along.
And that redshirts are statistically more likely to die on away missions because apart from engineers (non-expendable redshirts like Scotty) they're the security team, and their job is literally to _get between hostile forces and the rest of the away team_ (to protect the away team, ideally without dying). It's not a matter of which shirt colour was seen dying most often, but that they have what is explicitly the most dangerous job (except in situations where exposure to unknown pathogens is the primary concern).

I guess she couldn't find him in normal way and start to do all rituals thing despretely.. and then, It works like miracle. It's too bad that the design is from devil or some sort.
Yeah, no. The one she want to find probably isn't devil itself, or maybe? If she actually want to find one, her reaction might be a bit different. She realized it's gone very wrong here.
I'm going to follow this through to the very end here. This have a lot potential fun time here.
Plot twist: her father IS the devil and when he is summoned and tries to damn her she serves him with child support papers.

This is a neat game. Love the music, art and the sprite work. I liked that the other girls had some dialogue as well kat thinking of using the lighter on them. I wonder what shes searching for. She really wants something but also likes to think more with scientific logic. I honestly got a little mogeko and corpse party vibe from it. Wonder if it will deliver on the gruesomness. It looks really creepy. And there was a lot if red with eyes. Barely see that combo anymore

I immidiantly knew something was wrong once he cut off the girl's hair, tore the curtains off when he could had just picked up the ones on the floor, and snatching extra chalk when he didn't need to. Remember at the beginning where they basically said that nothing is going to be easy to take, there are consequences and such (didn't go back to read what they said, but i knew what they pretty much meant). Never watched/played project kat, barely watching it now! And i k n e w there's a whole different route with more steps without snatching a weave

I discovered this game 3 months ago due to this video. At first I thought of it as an average horror RPG and didn't pay it much attention. Later I played it and enjoyed it, but didn't really think of it as too significant. However over time for some reason I really came to love this game. It is currently one of my top 5 games. Thank you Manly for showing me this masterpiece. It's just unfortunate it doesn't get much coverage.

I just started the game, my audio lagged VERY badly. It was ear piercing, lagging, choppy audio (that sent a chill down my spine) but i played through the beginning portion with those noises. It was FAR scarier than any music could ever be
