We spent a few days in Venice Italy, exploring the alleyways, eating way too much food, and getting lost in one of Europe's most beautiful cities. Our Venice tour wouldn't be complete without stopping for a ton of food along the way!

I would really love to see how you book your hotel stay and what is the cost of each hotel stay on your trips. I would love it if you include all of that in your next video.
Thanks for your interest in that! It's pretty complicated, as we often do a combination of collaborations with hotels, using hotel and credit card points, and for Hilton, I am on a friends and family plan as I have a friend who is a Hilton employee so I often get great rates with them. It's not very straightforward the way we book! Haha

Thank you! We try to add in all of our little quirks and banter between the two of us. This trip we were definitely a little worn down by this point, but after being home for a few weeks we are itching to get back out there and travel more!

Hello I'm wondering when you say the lighting got good.. around what time was that? Want to plan accordingly myself for some photography. Thanks
It's a little tricky in the canals with the shadows, so we avoided shooting in the middle of the day, unless it is cloudy. That way you can avoid any harsh shadows. Sunrise and sunset (and the couple hours around then) are always a good idea for good light, If you can make it out
Great Vlog!! Couldn’t agree more on adventuring beyond the tourist highway in Venice. The first thing I do is politely leave my wife in her favorite store, then head to the nearest alley where I find a cold Peroni……cheers

When I visited Italy 2 years ago, the hotel I stayed at had A shower/tub combination. Those bathtubs you had to step up over and down to get in our out. No picnic in that department.
I've seen those before. We called it a shub, but I don't think that is what they are actually called.....
Thanks for sharing!! I'll be visiting Italy for the first time on a Solo Travelers trip at the end of Sept. Flying into Venice and visiting Florence, Rome, Capri Island and the Amalfi Coast (Positano). I'll only have 2 nights in Venice and Florence. Do you think 2 days is enough in Venice?
I think you could see all the main tourist attractions in 2 days, The city itself is not that big. I recommend walking around and exploring the little alleys and back canals as much as possible

Sounds like Kelly still has "Deliverooo" stuck in her head with the way she jumped across screen onto the bed yelling "Tiramisuuuu"! Even if this didn't have the beautiful background everywhere, the terrific still shots, and laid back filming style of going around just trying to see what you find and not trying to make it one of those vlogs where they try to shove in nothing but the normal touristy images, this would have been worth watching through just to get to the bloopers! lol!

Venice is so beautiful. I think everyone should visit at least once. Tiramisu was created in Treviso, or so I was told! We set off to go to Burano one day and ended up in Murano! Easy mistake eh? We almost got off the Waterbus in Murano by mistake! Venice was a great time and I think getting lost and eating your way around the city is the way to go!
Wow just a few years back (2019) when I visited the bookstore with my sister during the summer, there was hardly anyone there at the store except a few cats which were sitting in the bookshelves. But I guess since then the popularity has certainly picked up. Perhaps it's more popular with locals than I thought. Nice video. The Hilton Venice looks quite nice, may stay there next time I'm in Venice.
We were hoping to get photos there, but we were too rushed. Oh well

We don't, in Italy it's not too hard because the food is pretty much already in Italian haha

A weekend in Venice....... Oh, how do you do it?? I stay 10+ nights at a time, thrice a year. The best time to visit is the weary, humid, foggy, wintery Xmas period. Do you study the history? Have you interest in the architecture, art and literary legacy? Are you multi-lingual?
We stayed longer than a Weekend, This video was only from two days of our time there. We definitely love architecture and the art of Italy. Super beautiful Culture. We aren't fluent, but we can get our way through most conversations in Italian, French, and Spanish
Venice is worth it once.
We really like it there, definitely somewhere you should see
