    My mother tong is Arabic and although they are singing in Arabic, I don’t understand any single word but I love such traditional songs

      They don't sing underwater, they usually sing while traveling to the pearl banks , and during the times of work and rest.

      In the cds booklet theres a summary of what the songs talks about but theres no full lyrics translation

    Origins of this music Timbuktu traditional music - same style of instruments, songs and hand clapping.

      Not true, this is a traditional singing passed down from generation to generation that has no connection with Timbuktu

      @@akhenamen1 these elements are present across many cultures and are simple and intuitive enough to have developed independently of one another. You can’t seriously be suggesting that joining your hands together to make a sound would somehow not have been known if not for the people of Timbuktu lol

      @@NajidHajee Sir not only Timbuktu but most of East African cultures use this type of sinkapadaded music. - this musical tradition originated from africans before they were captive slaves in Arabia - check it out.
