That ford 460 cui engine was garbage I can’t believe you’re putting that in that truck.
Probably he never had one, I had one,When I sold it had 140 thousand on it and was still going strong
I beg to differ on that, maybe you should do a little more research before commenting.
@@C_CEQUIPMENTyes... we ran a 427 side oiler in our 73 Stang late model. We also ran a couple of stroked & cammed 460's.
@@C_CEQUIPMENT I have owned one pure garbage.
Truck is looking pretty sharp
Building a motor and truck with father. A memory that will last a life time. Go Team!
Clint,
As a father of two boys, I know the importance of teaching my sons important life lessons, and also how mechanical things work. My father was an aircraft mechanic for the US civil service and he taught me so much about how to fix and repair things. I just wanted to compliment you on the investment that you’re making in your son with his education of the rebuild of his truck, and the patience that you’re showing him by allowing him to do most of the work. This is not only teaching him about how to build things and how they work, but it is in stilling in him a tremendous amount of confidence and pride, in the work that he’s doing. I am sure that every time he drives that vehicle he will feel that pride and it will come through to his friends and family for long after this truck has come and gone!! Not to mention the amazing father and son bonding that is going on!! You will ALWAYS cherish this time together!! Great job to both of you and the truck looks awesome!! 🙏🏼👍🏽💯
Wow !! Hunter is one lucky young man, Not only getting a cracking motor but working with your father on a very cool project, These are times he will remember the rest of his life and bonus for us we get to see it 😁
You guys run a first class professional & clean shop with top notch Equipment. I like the way you explain things with your boys and the viewing public on whatever project you are working on. I bet you put more than a few bucks in the Highboy project
"Don't worry, Clint. There are individuals who criticize others constantly without examining their own shortcomings. Such behavior is a true illness in today's society. These people are never content unless they can pass judgment, and this attitude is a significant illness in itself. They should know better-don't throw stones when you're sitting in a glass house." keep it up I like the Videos as the are
I like how your boys are able to work with a very little guidance. It shows a great work ethic. They will succeed in life.
Wow, I hope your son appreciates how fortunate he is to have such a good teacher and unlimited resources to accomplish the perfect build.
Not only is Hunter going to cherish these memories with you he’s also going to have so much more respect for that engine since he put the time into building it.
If they don't like your hand gestures I have one for them😂😂
Language is always evolving.😂😂😂
I hope Hunter realises how lucky he is
I really like the exchange of information between a father and son, the overhaul is outstanding.
Clint,
Just a thought that was taught from an old timer was to coat new gaskets in a thin coating of bearing grease, that way when you have to replace them thay come off in one piece no scrapping.
I do that with all bolts.
Absolutely Brew!! Also for pan gaskets, valve cover gaskets and even carb gaskets. And old school trick that has served us old techs for years.
I'm 66 years old and the only thing I know about an engine is you turn a key to start one but I still enjoy the education. Great stuff guys!! Thank you!
Great video 👍 This is such a great build Hunter is a very lucky boy, please put a Apple air tag hidden in that truck or some other security setup it's the world we live in😮
It's a manual, the world we live in could only tow it
@@Bigjqrloh so true😅
The bell housing bolt pattern is the same but depth is diffrent on a 460 .we make a 3/8" block plate to make up the diffrence .your new plasma will make the plate u need . The351 will bolt up but it loads the imput shaft at the pilot bearing
She is going to be one sweet ride when done. Most important is it being a family project. Thanks for sharing.
Your relationship with your sons is really special, not all families enjoy this type of relationship. Great opportunity for Hunter to gain self confidence in his work and ability!
so refreshing to see some one take pride in there work and not (half ass) it like a lot of utube channels...nicely done!!!
You've done pretty nice job there Hunter. This Highboy got a new life.. All new !!Bravo !!
Thats a awesome job, like how you help your son yet let him figure things out on his own. Great videos Clint, keep up the good work, always something different in your shop. Plasma cutter is an amazing piece of kit, looks pretty simple to use too.
Looking very nice, Hunter. You and Dad made memories that will last. Tucker did a great job on that tank too. I love the way you two brothers hep each other and get along so well. That says a lot for the way Mom & Dad raised you.
I THINK THIS IS EVERY YOUNG MANS DREAM TO BE ABLE TO RE BUILD HIS OWN TRUCK!!!!.AND THE BEST PART IS DOING IT WITH HIS FATHER 👨....MAN THIS IS PRICELESS..❤😂🎉
Superb job on the High boy. I "supervised " 😂, a rebuild with my 16 year old son , who now is 40. The project was a 97 TA, Firehawk. In the middle of the winter, brutally cold, outside that year for Texas. He had two buddies with the same make/model. They both opted for Superchargers etc. About 700 hp. His was mainly stock except for custom exhaust. His car lasted for 10 years. His buddies both blew within 2 months. Can't get greedy with a daily driver, street legal automobile. But I'm certain your son will keep that truck and forever cherish this memory. My son swapped with me for a Honda sedan 😂. The TA went to my favorite nephew as my neighbors complained about the few times i would shake the windows of their house on Sat mornings. That truck is definitely heavy equipment. God Bless.
Father and Son working in harmony and Mummy looking at invoices coming in lol🤣🤣🤣
👀 😂😂
My first boss had a F-250. That color of the firewall was the color of his entire truck.
On the brake booster, you can set it up for a hydro boost from a late 90s 7.3. It'll require some modifications to the firewall mount and pedal mount.
1970 -79 Lincoln might bolt right on
@@frankmorrow2270 It very well might. 👍
If going to hydroboost I'd suggest getting the Saginaw pump from the same Lincoln/Mercury since it will have the dual return reservoir.
Do note that the Saginaw has a bigger pulley shaft than C2 pumps and pulleys are hard to find alone. (I'm saying this as someone who swapped a '95' F-450 HB into an '80' s pickup)
I'd just like a video of the 1st day of school when it drives on the parking lot (just to see Hunter blush when all the ladies run over and ask for a ride home)! Really respect your method of teaching those two men all the different processes (body, paint, mechanical, problem solving, parts research). The next generation of C & C Equipment is in great hands!
I do enjoy watching Hunter learning and working hard. He's a good lad with a great personality and I can tell you're one proud Pa.
Looking forward to more fantastic content! Thanks to all at C&C for making my evenings a lil less drab!
🤘
Clint, you have so many things on your plate and yet you always put your family in front of everything else. So many fathers seem to never have the time for their kids. Your kids will use most of what you have shown and taught them because of you. Hats off to a great dad and I'm sure your wife teaches them a lot also. Never a disappointment watching any of your videos. I love how you help them but also allow them to learn things from any mistakes they might. 👍👍👍
make.
Man that's going to be a beautiful truck! I've got a few friends hooked on this build that are now subscribed to your channel. Why wouldn't they it's a great channel! Us old farts love this stuff. 😁👍👍
Hunter works hard at the shop all summer and weekends, his pay goes towards the build I'm sure, anyways Clinton worked his a** off to get to where he is and love to see him helping his kid out with the truck and spending time with him, Hunter could be out with older friends doing bad stuff but instead he's working on a truck being a good kid.
That's to all who leave the comments about daddy having deep pockets - like it's a bad thing, or Hunter doesn't deserve this build.
Love Hunter smiling 😊!
I sure hope your boys realize how lucky they are to have a dad who is willing to show them a trade, work ethic, and the love of a job. Because if you find a job that you love to do you'll no longer be working, you'll just be enjoying. :)
I can't wait to hear that big Ole 460 come to life. Great job.
I know you did this a while back and you probably won't ever get this comment. But I would have given everything I had and everything I've ever had, and I'm a 70-year-old man, to have a daddy like you and the way you treat your boy Hunter. It almost brings a tear to my eye watching you guys work together. The only other thing I can say is I can't believe as a retired Ford mechanic, that you actually put auto light spark plugs in that engine. For shame for shame! Motorcraft is the only plug that I ever should have gone in that engine, that's all nothing else.
Beautiful motor
The Highboy is looking mighty sharp (even if it is only a Ford 😄). Hunter is getting some valuable training on this project for sure. Awesome.
This build looks great. You guys are doing a fantastic job, can’t wait to see it run after you are finished and how it performs in the snow.
Hunter is doing a great job building himself a bad ass truck! Your a great dad Clint giving him the help and expertise to make sure this project goes right. Hunter should be very proud of himself with this build it looks awesome
One sweet truck . Best it's built with dad and son did most of the work because you have been a dad and taught him .God bless . now if kid would loose crocks lol
That’s a sharp looking truck. I like the older OBS trucks better then the new ones. I have a 95 super clean F150 I love it. Best of luck with it. I love your relationship with your son. Your a good father.
I love seeing you and your boys doing projects together. I have fond memories of doing things with my dad. Thank you for sharing. Great job
Absolutely a beautiful piece of work and craftmanship.
*- It is good to watch a good student with a helpful and good teacher.*
Ha Hunter
Super good job bud,, your truck is sweet super nice.
You better give your Dad a big hug , when no one is watching ha, ha
He is really proud of you,, I know because I have a son and I am proud of him.
Good luck Hunter
Drive safe and that truck will last you the rest of your life
God bless you and your family
Jeff Carder
P.S. I am subscribed to your channel and watch every video you put out there for all of us TH-camrs tell your mom and dad thank you so much 🛠️✌️😎
Can almost feel Hunter's anticipation coming through my screen. 👊 BAM!
Real people really work
There is definitely a need for better C&C Official footwear than crocs.
Again I just love how well you and your son get along together. As well as the work y'all do. Thanks for all your videos I just LOVE them.
Course it'll fit .
Great job getting it together and slid back in..textbook how it's done. Great job fellas 😊🇺🇸🔧🛻🛠️😎 looking forward to seeing it roar back to life.
I can’t wait to hear that big block highboy thump. Great video as always. 😎💪🏻😎💪🏻😎
People don't understand you need hand signals working around equipment, because they may not be able to hear you.
Haters will hate.
Keep up the great work 👍
Restored my 77 F150 with a 460 with my dad just before he passed, best memories I have! Grateful to see other father son projects!
Hunter is going to have a nice truck! Now he knows the work that went in to it! The experience he has had will last a life time!
Just imagine Hunter on the first day back at school with that bad boy!
I'm imagining him walking to school because the fuel bills are killing him. Cool truck for sure though.
I hope my thumbs up and comment help to buy a washer or a smidge of grease.
Truck is a beauty ,can't wait until she puts all of her clothes back on though.
Love the ford highboy build! I have a 77 f250 myself born a month after they quit making the highboy. You have taught your sons well an have outstanding class when it comes to good quality workmanship.
I had a 1990 F700 service truck with a 429 for 18 years. PM’s on time, a few valve cover gaskets and a starter. No complaints, darn good motor!
With all the work done I hope he drives it like it deserves, Take care of it.
As always thanks for your content really enjoy professional attitude
That project is coming along nicely. I see you have a couple of 460 haters out there. Guess they can go somewhere else instead of complaining. We have to much negativity going in our lives this day and age. Anyways, the truck looks fantastic. Won’t be long it will be out on the road. Keep up the great work Hunter and Clinton😊. Your videos are never boring. Take care and stay safe.
Father and son builds are the greatest! Hunter is doing a great job! A chip off the ol’ block! And it will be one bad a$$ truck when finished! Cant wait to hear the rumble!
I liked the way you talked to your son as he was prying out the seal. You did not yell. You kept your voice cool and calm. You teached. Great job!
Hunter your truck is looking AWESOME . give your dad a big hug and a thank you !
Cool project and fun to watch you & Hunter grin as it develops. Fun stuff!
Awesome to see you working with your boys like you do!!!
I like Superclean, great de-greaser, and if you build plastic models, it will take the chrome off of plastic parts if you want to paint them. Such as the fuel tanks on semi models. Just soak them overnight.
It's nice to see a young man learning by working on his own truck its a pity that more young people don't do this nice one hunter 👍 😊
Brings back memories of my dad and I overhauling a ‘68 Pontiac, 400 cid. When we were through, I said to him that I was sure glad that he knew what he was doing, his response was that he had never done that before. Gulp, could have knocked me over. I knew he had overhauled diesel’s in the past. Bottom line, IT RAN GREAT.
Wow, nearly brand new 👍👏👊 I can’t wait when is running 😝
I DON'T CARE WHAT ANTI FORD PEOPLE SAY !!!! That motor is looking sweet !!!! That's still a powerhouse !! You Made it a new motor with your Son ! That makes it great x 10 : )
Y’all be doing a great job
Thanks for sharing Hunters adventure !!
That monster looks good, can't wait to see the first burnout😅
Awesome truck. Always loved the 460 big block torque. Great truck and one lucky kid!
Looking darn good there men never been a Ford man but I can always respect a great project. Engine looks great 👍
Enjoying the build, great job guys....and memories been made. BTW, love the Ford bue (engine).
I love the father son work vidios❤❤❤
Hunter! Just tell the ole' Man, "I meant to do that, that was a filter port backflush to clear any junk out"! LOL
And the deal with the hand gesture... I've always thought it was like "mechanic's sub-conscious"... I think they are sub-consciously hiding greasy dirt fingernails from the people they are talking to. I've grown up around a many old school mechanics and can clearly recall them pointing at things using a hand gesture like or very similar to this.
Clinton you could also go with a hydro boost system for the brake booster! Great looking build, can’t wait to hear it run!
Memories that will last a life time ,to be passed down to the next generation America needs a LOT more of this well done Clint
I lov this rebuild!! Full Steam Ahead!1 Pint in! Cheers!;-)!!!
That motor is looking really good. Can't wait to hear it run . That will be a mean machine ..great video..
the hand sign - forefinger and pinkie up - is the TCU -Texas Christian University Longhorn football program for 'Hook 'em Horns'
Tucker is kicking butt and taking names- and learning a ton while he's at it. Good Job Tucker!!
Memories are what its about. Me and my Dad built my first truck wheni was 13. 1950 Chevy, 327 (11.5 compression), we did it all, ive never sanded so much in my life! I wish he was still here. Good job guys
Lot’s to be proud of Mr. Hunter!!💪 Also somebody else is proud of the build!! Guess who 🤔 Keep them coming guys👍🇺🇸
That highboy sure wel be one sweet rode for sure
Looks really great , makes me miss my 77.
It's nice to see a young guy doing it at kind of work. There would be a nice Looking truck I like that I have a truck like that good luck with it
Not My Motor just got me 11:35 in . Love watching Genuine people care about each other and do A Fine Job Too BOOT !
Hunter - tell your pops you need NGK plugs for that high power engine.
so when the china wall cork sucks in or blows out (they always do) next time just use RTV and eliminate the cork.. maybe you'll be lucky and it wont blow out but likely not... great job hunter...looks great... im sure daddy is very proud
For a lunatic, Clint is pretty successful. Yep, the smartest lunatic I know! And my tools, don't loose any. Especially the 10mm! 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂 Proud to call Clint a friend. He's a great father, dad & bubba.
He’s doing a super job on his truck, he’s going to be proud of finished product.
FYI, I like watching lunatics work, don’t change your ways. I talk with my hands sometimes to. I must be crazy.
I had a F100 with a 460 back in high school, that truck would pass everything but a gas station!! 😁
Lookin good Hunter your Dad is a great father. When he speaks listen that will be the cheepest advice u can get. Good job boys. ❤️🙏👍😇💯
It looks nice having so much room for everything. Working on my Mustang is really cramped.
The New Process 435 was a great transmission. Most of the old U-Hauls had that in them. Very easy to rebuild.
Clint, there is nothing wrong with your hand gestures. I do them too. Some people really need to clean their own house before commenting on yours!!! 🤟
That's going to be bad a s truck! You can be very proud of you guys have done.
