Theory: This is baby Phineas. Phineas was always a gifted child with a wild imagination, but also a bit of a psychotic side. He built that ball toy that he goes into his mouth to practice shooting things. The reason why Phineas’ biological dad isn’t on the show isn’t because of divorce....but because he shot his father with a banana gun. He didn’t like his father so he decided to build a brother and father. The brother would only say one line and never disagree with him...and the new stepfather would be a calm British dude who wouldn’t get weirded out or upset with Phineas’ inventions. Once the mom found out about it...she locked him in a dark room with only a box so that this demon child would die of starvation....which is why she was so cold when he wanted to “play with the toy.” Phineas had outsmarted his mother and went into the ball’s mouth so he could enter a simulation. Phineas still loved his mother though which is why he made her look like a banana in the simulation. Once that happened...he built a new mother that would never suspect him building anything evil and wouldn’t believe anyone who told her what he and his brother built. Candace was the only one who knew about this and was struck with grief and depression which is why she made it her goal to bust her brothers. Phineas had already taken control of the government and law enforcement by then....and brainwashed the town’s kids and adults. The only ones who aren’t brainwashed are The fireside girls, Candace, and Doofenshmirtz. The reason why the fireside girls aren’t brainwashed are because the leader of all the fireside troupes knew of a prophecy of the demon boy, so she told all the troupes to hide in a bunker and pretend to be brainwashed. The reason why Isabella comes over every day and asks Phineas “Whatcha doin’ “ is because she is a fireside spy...who has a surveillance camera in one of her patches and she takes visual and audio recordings of Phineas’ plans and evil inventions. She pretends to have a crush on him that everyone else knows of so that no one in town can suspect her. Doofenshmirtz also isn’t brainwashed because he is secretly Phineas’ real father that made a clone of himself to pretend to be dead. Doofenshmirtz also had a previous family with Charlene....but had left to be with Linda. Once Phineas found out that he hadn’t actually killed his father.....he created O.W.C.A. and all of it’s animal agents that he sends to Doofenshmirtz and other scientists labs that are plotting against him. He sent his best animal agent, Perry. The reason why Doofenshmirtz makes all these “evil” inventions is so he can take control of the Tri-state area, and once he is in charge...he can un-brainwash his ex-wife, Vanessa, his brother, and everyone else across the United States. Eventually Phineas captures everyone who rebelled against him...which is why in the act your age episode Candace had made peace with her brothers (because she was actually the robot Phineas had made of her), His biological father quit “evil” and had a mid-life crisis...and also why Isabella and Phineas “fell in love” cause he brainwashed her into liking him because he secretly liked her that whole time. In the end...Phineas, “the demon boy” wins and is in control of the 2D world. He plans on taking control of the 3D world.

my interpretation: the mum worked for the government for a while. while working for the government however, she learned something she wasn't supposed to know. when her employers found out about it, she had to go on the run. then the government drugged the kid and gave it a gun, finishing her off so the secret would stay secret

The child's mother might be getting into some kind of crippling addiction after some kind of tragedy,it might be her divorce that happened a few times after she gave born to the child (which has abnormally many teeth) and her husband may see it as some kind of imperfection and she left the kid alone in her (storage) room just to hallucinate by his own while she gets herself high by the drugs in the boxes,then after a few times,the kid is kinda curious why his mother kept opening the "toy" boxes and while her mom is was in a tired an dizzy condition,she gave the kid her "toys",she mistook it with the child's lollipop and the children gets high,then in children's now high vision,he sees nothing but a lollipop tree amidst a sugar sands,this might have been caused by his mom always giving him lots of candy in order to him to make his teeth falling off,and partly because his mom locked him in an empty,dark storage room so that he didn't know any life outside the cold,empty and dark void that her mom called room,then after a few times "running" through and "out" of the storage room,he accidentally stumbled upon a gun that her mom used as a weapon to defend "herself" (she might as well be an overtly paranoid women partly due to her addiction) and after hearing a gunshot,she runs across the whole house and gets shot by her own son,ending her miserable paranoia and drug addiction atlast,while after a few days,her child goes back to normal again,not knowing that he "accidentally" killed his mother,and either dying of starvation,or being caught by the cops and sent to an orphanage, not knowing what he did...
