Just a matter of time before the technology catches up to this concept and it can reach it's full potential, which is Predator Drone-sized craft competing over courses hundreds of miles long by satellite relay.
So is anybody working on a simulator that permits near identical control response for the purpose of a training environment not hindered by battery life or the cost to track and Quadcopter? Such a simulator available at a reasonable cost would only advance the number of participants willing to invest in Quadcopter racing.

Can't see the track. Spectators need to be able to see the track in order to tell what is happening.

how come you're running 4 inchers on the shrike when its designed for 5 inch props?
There was a 4" class. I wanted to use the same quad for all the classes just to get my throttle control dialed in. Plenty of power for this course.

Pretty good flying but you need to take some advice from other racing, like slowing before the turn, not after you speed past it overshooting.

The event was 3 days but fly time was probably only 8 battery packs which is really good considering all the pilots who registered.
