Thanks again for the C&D video, the approach/professionalism you share with us vPilots gives us a real perspective on real life operations and gives another dynamic to the simming we do!
Hello, it is built into our flows. I guess it may look a long way down the list in this video as there is a lot of explanation but with 2 pilots running through this in the real world that button would soon be on but it can vary by SOP 👍
Hello, I have a question about when you start engine 1, in couple showcase video and irl I can hear the PTU go off when you start engine 1. Which flips/setting in audio game i need to have to make sure it happen? i've been trying to flicker around the panel but haven't find any success
Hello, the PTU conducts a test once the second engine is started, the order of engine start does not matter. It is not related to flap setting. In the real world we do not hear the PTU in the cockpit unless we have the door open and an empty cabin so some models correctly model that and you will need to enter the passenger cabin to hear it. I am not aware of any audio settings that need to be adjusted but the Fenix is realistic as to where in the aircraft it can be heard, hope that helps
@@AirbusCockpitCoach it happens when I was a passenger on the a321 and the PTU sound was very noticeable. I'm aware that usually PTU cannot be heard from the cockpit. But I remember hearing it once the pilot start the 2nd engine (in my context he started 2 then 1 I think) if you can find out how to make it audible it'd be nice (I'm awared of it's not neccessary required, but it's just a nice eargasm touch for personal favorite)
Hello!!! I was today on your stream today, and i have one question. Also cannot find answer anywhere :). So why do some people land without autothrottle? Is it reasonable?
Hello, in the real world some airline standard operating procedures allow this and some do not in normal operations. There is nothing wrong with taking the auto throttle out for landing and it is common practice with some operators
I get going thru checklists and stuff but I dont know why people bother with checking things that we know are going to be in a normal state. Maybe something for MSFS2024 but it would be cool to actually be able to spawn a plane that could be in a random state, i.e, a breaker being broken, or a system malfunctioning when tested, etc but I doubt anything like that would be on the top of Microsoft's list of things they want to add for their all important X-box base of players.
It's a good point. The Fenix does change a few bits such as the battery voltages and oil levels and we are starting to see a few mods implement things like brake and tyre wear so things are moving in the right direction 👍
Another excellent video. Looking forwards to the rest of this longer normal operations series!
Thank you! More to come very soon 👍

Thank you Ted, glad you are enjoying the content. Lots more to come 👍
Perfect, exactly what I needed. Thank you !
Great to hear! 👍
Just found your channel, great video.
Amazing, this is exactly what i wanted 👍🛫
Great to hear! 👍
Are the other episodes available for members ?
Do you not have to hit GND CTL before anything else (once the a/c is powered) - or is that just with certain airline SOPs?

@@AirbusCockpitCoach oh and sorry I was supposed to say flip switches not flips, not to confused with flap
