It's a tiny bit rough during the holidays when one is single😔 I loved all the decorations; but my favorites were the wreath with the added bells and the stair banister. Simply beautiful! I think we all get hit by nostalgia, but if it helps you feel any better, I still have teens at home and they have no interest in helping me with the tree anymore either, or to do Halloween or Bonfire Night, it’s just me and the cat! Maybe try to start a few of your own Christmas traditions now you have more freedom? Like to absolutely not have a big tree….in my grandparents later years they’d put out their fibre optic one instead of grappling with the big tree and all the decs and I don’t blame them at all, I’m getting that way myself. I love to watch other family videos, hence me being here, but you can start your own ‘new’ traditions that suit you.
Kay you taught them well and they will never forget because they’re doing it with their children. I’m sure they would be quite happy for you to join in. If they live near you or like the other person said ask the children round to help you do a smaller one I’m the same I’m 70 it’s the first year I’ll be on my own my younger daughter has found the love of her life at last he also has a lovely son who lives part time with them my older daughter lives near Manchester with my two grandsons l live in Whitley bay hopefully they will visit and we will all go to a pantomime. It is very hard when your on your own but like the other person said it’s looking at making changes owner selves but also remembering the good times too. Best wishes from Lynda

The lamp is from lighting direct and is called the chess lamp. And the shade is from dunelm and is called chartwell xxx
