Even if you have a car on HP or PCP, the finance company owns it until you pay it off in full. Lease is like renting.

Get the f80 m4 for sure. 40,000 dollars to modify is crazy and you could build something awesome. I don’t think you have to worry about reliability if you just do basic maintenance first.
I see a B7 Audi RS4 back there at Makes & Models. Idk how that wasn't even a thought for your Head to Head Mod Comp... 4.2L NA V8. 420HP AWD. EXTREMELY mod-able.. Probably somewhere between 30-40K That would have been a really good car for the Head to Head.

My dad had 1 of these cars when I was a kid. He told me son, this is the fastest car that you can buy from a dealer. I said it can't be faster then the Lamborghini or the Ferrari???? He said son this car would blow those cars out of the water. It took him 6 months to finally get this car. It was a Corvette and the higher end Corvette at that, like a Z06. Anyway they shipped the car off to a shop and the guys started working on it. I think they did 250 cars in the couple of years they were working with Chevrolet. The car would be called the Sledgehammer by Callaway. Now here's what I don't understand. This car hit 255mph, and that wouldn't be beaten until the Bugatti Veyron almost 30 years later. Anyway my dad left that car to my oldest brother. I begged my brother for the car and told him, if you ever want or need to sell this car, call me 1st!!!! He promised me he would. About 3 years later I went over to his house and I asked him, where do you have my baby parked?? He said oh shit, I forgot to tell you, I sold it. I said man I told you and I'd buy it that same day. He tried to say the guy paid him $90k for it as is. I was so mad I left and didn't ever talk to him again. He died from not taking care of himself with his diabetes. Anyway I'm still on the hunt to buy it back.

Also, works as a government subcontractor for Microtech who repairs UAV components as well for Douglass Electrical in Jersey and components for the global hawk UAV serial bus manufacturer in eastern PA that i cannot name. He told me they whip together circuits proprietary in nature that aren't quite up to spec with modern communication protocol standards often, and that the sub assembly pieces are usually really bad. Buyer beware, what might seem like a thrill could be a ticket to kill. You put your money into one of these things, you better have more than insurance to cover a loss.
I personally would go something more low budget and then have lots of room to modify it. Maybe like last gen RS3 or current gen if you can find a good price, then have the engine built with twin turbos, those things are crazy fast and sound like mini v10's!
Hopefully, things get sorted out soon and you'll be cruising in a dope ride to compete with Sophia's Supra. Maybe the Universe is pushing you towards a C6 Corvette Z6.

Flappy paddle is not what it used to be called. It's what Jeremy Clarkson called it when the technology first came out and it kind of stuck. Some people still call it that, but it has always been an automated manual gearbox.
Go for the Audi RS3, Consider an 8V (2018-2020) over an 8Y, as they are much cheaper and the ECU is unlocked so you can tune it. Going with 8V would allow you to have much more money to spend modding it. I own a 2020 RS3 so I’m biased, but it will for sure beat Sophia, I’m FBO E85, and beat my friends FBO E85 MKV supra from any roll, dig it’s not even a question. Also the 5cyl Turbo is genuinely one of the best sounding, most unique modern engines to day. It is such a surreal raw driving experience as well, all the boost hits you at 4k and you get thrown back in your seat. Get a TCU tune and the shifts are unlike anything else in the budget. Overall great daily I think you would end up keeping for a long time, that also easily hurts super cars feeling

Definitely go BMW, M2/M3/M4, N55, S55, S58, would all be great options! Similar to the B58 in the M240i/Supras, but different enough to compete and compare!
