i had this when i was a kid. I remember throwing my cartridge outside in frustration after failing to beat this tourney for the 9001th time.

i know ! and worse is i was a kid at that time so i didnt know you could pass while attempting to dunk the ball and it was pretty much impossible to do a single special shot
only won by getting lucky tbh... never even touched hard mode because it got too out of hand on that one on normal. it started off fun but by the end of normal rainbow cup it got way too frustrating for my tastes, had to borrow a friends action replay to get all the characters sadly

Get the gold trophy in this cup was so difficult, and win in the third court(pirate ship) was frustrating, you had to play faster to get a difference of 300(more or less) points against CPU in all the matches to get the gold

I pretty much threw my copy of "Mario Hoops 3 on 3" in the trash because of the Rainbow Tourney. Mainly cause no matter how hard I tried, I could NOT beat the "Final Fantasy" team.

i got the blue armor for ninja 2 times and on the third time i tried to get it i did leave the game and only play on exhibition
the team i always chose was a boo ninja and mario
