I remember stopping there a night on my round the world motorcycle ride (Germany - NZ) 23 yrs ago. The playground of Bangkok's wealthy as I recall. My hotel, the other side of that equation, was a rustic floating pontoon room with no amenities. I think the place has amp'ed up a lot since then.
