Man, I wish more youtubers followed your example of recording B-Roll for games instead of making videos that are 90% like a webcam. Also, a question, regarding co-op games, have you ever played Cthulhu: Death May Die?
I have not managed to get DMD to the table yet, but it is high on my to-play list. I only recently acquired it. I've heard get things. Seems like one that could be on this list. Thanks so much for watching!
@@TotallyTabled Awesome! I recently acquired it too, as in, YESTERDAY 🤣 can't wait to try it out, I've been on the fense with this one for years, I finally pulled the trigger
Yeah, it is weird how little attention it has received. Not sure why. I really love the game. Check out my full solo playthrough if you haven't. Thanks so much for watching!
I think my personal #1 for this list would be Sentinels of the Multiverse, and I'm kind of shocked it didn't make it! I love the game solo, but the overhead that is required to do that can be daunting sometimes, especially when you're playing more complex heroes.
Totally agree on your spirit island assessment. I feel 100% the same on the solo game feeling like a piece is missing although I am not as opposed to playing games 2 handed.
Really fun list and I love your No 1 pick! :D ... Have to admit that my best experiences with Spirit Island were actually at 6 and 7 players :D Both games were won with a little luck ^^ Gloomhaven and successors have been played through and I have still the community campaign Crimson Scales in waiting. In the meantime we played a lot of Slay the Spire at 2 and 3 players. Really love Marvel United with the recent addition of Spider- and Multiverse. Primal is still unplayed but waiting for a go. Our current go-to at 5 and 6 players (with GM) is Cthulhu: Death May Die and at 5 Bomb Busters :D Wish you loads of fun gaming sessions! Thank you :)
Great list, thank you! I'm new to the hobby and love playing solo. I was wondering if you ever thought about doing a top cozy/light-weight solo games list?
@@mariac_campos Ah, I just went back to double check and it appears that he did Heavy, Medium-Heavy, and Medium only. He also did a “Sick Day” ones that skewed a bit lighter.
One of the best videos I've seen in a while. I haven't played every game you mentioned, but of the 7 I have I 100% agree with your assessment. Although I'm probably the weird one because i actually prefer Mage Knight 2 player, full co-op. 😊
Return to Dark Tower looks incredibly fun but $220 in my country for a game reliant on persistent app support is off-putting. It'd be fun to see more games exploring mechanical components/towers though (like Dark Tower, Tzolkin etc) as its very rare outside family games (fireball island, grape escape, mouse trap). Would like to see something complex built like a CluePuzzle box tied into a boardgame.
great list Mr Shaggy.... except for slay the spire lol. personally i detest the video game, i do not get the hype at all. i can only image the board game is a lot of administration? it's not on my list either way lol.
I liked the video game, and couldn't understand why I would want to do ALL that administrative work myself, when the digital game just does it for me. I wound up getting it later because my oldest boy also liked it and it's the only way currently to play multiplayer. I have to admit that it was 1000% worth it. Yes there's some "upkeep", but the multiplayer experience is so good I don't even care. If you hated the digital version idk if the boardgame will change your mind, but if you ever get a chance to try it out multiplayer I strongly suggest giving it a shot. You might be surprised. For what it's worth lol. 😀
One of the only boardgames channels that understands that the board games are the focus, not the speaker's face
I'm glad you enjoy the format. Thanks so much for checking out the video!
Absolutely, i really dislike if they just talking about it and the only one what they show you is the cover of the box - hilarious😅

Great job with this list! Lots of great games listed.
Your quality of videos is always top tier. I am continually impressed. Keep up the great work!
Hey, I really appreciate those kind words. Thanks so much!
Nice to see Invincible the Hero Building Game getting some love! It seems like it mostly went by without notice.

Two-handed Marvel Champions is, really, the only way that I would ever play it; it's designed for two heroes under one player, as I find it.

He did that recently!
@@CamObscura88 maybe I’ve missed it, but I remember watching one from a couple years ago. Maybe there are new recommendations :)

It is funny you say that -- I am currently working on a Top 10 Cozy Solo Games for my next list (or the one after that). Thanks for watching!
How do you compare solo one handed vs solo multi-handed? Like for marvel champions and marvel United two-handed (or more!) works so well!

Ha, yeah Mage Knight was on my co-ops I prefer solo. I'm happy you enjoyed the video. Thanks for checking it out!
neat ghost stories.. our fave

$300 here in New Zealand! Ouch
Invincible ❤
Have you played Oathsworn yet? It is amazing solo. Didn’t like it coop
ok im omw for a game of spirit island...
Hey me too! See you there
