KYMCO MXU 550 VARIATOR LIMITER T3B

On this video You can see how Your Kymco MXU550 (T3B EU-Tractor) is limited to 60km/h. It is kind of stupid way to limit speed this way because if You buy new Kymco MXU550 it will go max 60km/h with 7200rpm. It is not very ecological/economical and also not good for the engine. This means You will have to drive against the rpm limiter all the time if You want to drive 60km/h. After You remove the limiter it will go 91km/h and when You drive 60km/h the engine will have under 5000rpm.

Can you explain, how that "limiter" limits belt to go higher?

It prevents variator plates to come together so those plates won´t force belt to go higher

If you cut that spacer thinner, the plate will fit tighter and the belt will go higher. Nice.

You should take the part and send it to some local CNC-machine workshop were they can take the limiter away.
