Yh, bit of a conspiracy theory, but people don't want to promote things that could impact their market in a way that could lead to them becoming obsolete or even cut into their profit margins. Or, it could just be the instructions weren't that clear but he's stated he didn't even check the tutorial on the basis of a presumption that he cant imagine another way in how it could operate 🤦🏽 Either way it's an unfair review and given the price of the product I, I've had to just buy it and give it to give it a go, and will following the fairly simple tutorial on their website, as it could potentially save me 40 to 50 £s a month, I could touch myself up as much as needed, and save time in travel, wait time, and once proficient with the tool (if it works), haircut time. 🤞
You used it wrong. You gotta take all the bottom bulk off first and then like you said. Zero guard the bulk and then take that #1 guard line and you should have a even fade from the guide line.
It's the most useless invention in barbering you might as well use a detachable clipper if you don't want to use a lever, but at least a detachable is actually good for something I've seen that weztek pull on hair like crazy

The instructions mentioned it was to help blend in the side, after using a number one to cut the sides first. I could be totally wrong but other videos showed it that way.

That’s why I said it was bad. I would absolutely never need something like this with all the tools we have as barbers. Maybe home use but I’d still recommend against it

Junk review if you didn't test it the right way? Yes, they can make some small improvements, but that can be with tye next version. I think this tool is great for people having difficulty with blending fades.
I'm not a barber, but I shaved my own hair during the pandemic. I saw several channels reviewing this comb. I see they create outlines on all sides of the hair first and then use this comb.

it works good after using guards. i use it for detailing and getting weight lines out with a mix of guard work. isnt bad i slayed a fade with it yesterday, i need to start my own channel i see of these youtube barbers getting alot of recognition for mediocre cuts smh.
I have a knock off from temu and its brilliant. My mrs does my hair. All that is required after is to go along the fade line where #1 meets blendfrend and just finesse it slightly. Super easy and saves me spending £12 at the cheapest barbers i can find! £12!
Yes I saw it today and I ask myself....WHY? This is not suitable for even self cut due to the size and the hassle of holding it and feeding it into the clipper. That is why there are guards on the clipper. One style only. A big no no.
It says number 1 mate as, that's the guard the shortest length of the too cuts to. Meaning, the initial length of the guide would also need to be a #1(won't work with skin fades unless you fade from skin to 1 and then use the tool from 1 to bulk if that makes sense). This is where most people mess up as, they go to skin and expect it to blend when it won't as the shortest it goes is a 1 guard. So you basically used it wrong as, you didn't create your 1 guard line/guide. Once you create your 1 guard guide then you use the blend frond to that guide and follow it around making sure the bottom of the guard as lined up with the hair at the perimeter of the guide you made. You have to line it up every time to get an even result and you have to do multiple passes.
It says number 1 because it's the first guard and edition...the creator claims he will create more guard combs in future...he has new one in the works to cut for different styles
I use the fx3 or the fx02 at the moment. Best imo just one is plastic and lightweight, one is metal and heavy. Depends on your preference. Haven’t used the vanish

Hey bro, you should do a "tier list" with the most popular clippers. I saw a video of someone doing all the Call of Duty games and thought of a clipper tier.
Of course it's not for a real barber. I barely have any hair, it's not like I get a discount when I go to the barber shop. When I used to go to see barber, he can literally cut my hair in less than 5 minutes, he thought I couldn't see that when he was using the scissors that he wasn't actually touching my hair and only stretching out the session to justify how much he charged. So yeah, anything that can make things look better at home, the better. Frankly, 80% of people would save thousands by admitting all they need is a Flowbee type machine based on their haircuts. One of the most overrated professions ever, barber/hairdresser. BTW, you totally used incorrectly but if you goal is to make the tool look bad in a dishonest way, mission accomplished.
