HUNTING FOR THE RING - Lord of the Nazgul Commander/EDH - Magic the Gathering

The first of the non-face card Commanders from the precons that I'm working with, Lord of the Nazgul is here to hunt down some Hobbits and get the ring back, and we're going to help him and the Nazgul do their worst.

Love the deck man, I’ve been tweaking my lord of the nazgul decklist since prerelease. Three enchantments definitely worth considering are: Haunted One, Kindred Discovery, and Dire Undercurrents

I’m using some casualty spells from new capena and also isochron scepter with dramatic reversal for infinite wraiths. Also threw in a primal amulet and mimic vat. It’s a ton of fun

Oooh. I like the Mimic Vat. I didn't think about that one, pop off a Nazgul every turn cycle for a Tempt on a stick.

Nice video, thanks! What about Archmage Emeritus? Mystic Reflection also works wonders to create a bunch of nazguls..tainted strike is also great too.... I also like retraced image and Mask of the mimic

Another one that I like is the Proteus staff ...to polymorth wraths into nazguls =) and Sakashimas to copy the lord =)

Crippling Fear is cheap good card too

I tried Mysic Reflection in testing and didn't get great mileage out of it. I think it's a card that wants a burst token maker. Ghoulcaller Gisa could make that work, or maybe Stolen by the Fae, just to get multiples copies off Reflection.
Archmage could work for card draw since the Commander likes instants and sorceries as well. Tainted Strike gets you looked at sideways in my group so I avoid it unless I'm feeling spiteful.

You can get infinite wraiths with isochron scepter & dramatic reversal

You can, but I tend to shy away from infinite combos in most of my builds as gameplay tends to then become linear and all about getting that combo online to win. If I were to put this into the deck, I'd likely remove Ringsight. Combos are fine, but tutors make them too easy to fire off consistently. If I draw into a combo, I'm ok with it.

@twilightscallmtg i totally get that if i run an infinite combo in my deck i refuse to use tutors so i can actually work for it

With the Zepter you copy the spell not CAST it -----> Lord of Nazgul cant trigger with copies of spells or ?

@@yoshimitsu5031 Scepter casts the copy, as stated on the card and in its oracle text, so it'll trigger anything that looks for cast triggers.
