  • We recently had the pleasure of having our friend Josh Middleton of Architects and Sylosis visit us in the Peach Guitars studio. Whilst with us Josh and Aiden sat down and spoke about all things ESP, the origins of his brand new LTD JM-II signature model and the life of a modern touring artist at the top of their game!
    This is not one you’re gonna want to miss!
    Thanks as always for watching, take care and we'll see you next time!

    It’s cool to see how far he has gone. His old videos show that Perfect practice makes perfect can get you very far. I couldn’t imagine being able to play with such perfection

      Josh is such a fluid and precise player, it was a great experience to be able to watch him dominate that guitar! He's an absolute gent too, it was a pleasure having him down!

    Josh is a very hardworking person. Can’t imagine how can he write such cool riffs for two bands at the same time. Love that guy!

    I have his signature guitar and I pick it up over my various USA and Japanese custom shop guitars quite often. Love it.

    Josh is amazing. As a metal enthousiast it’s hard to escape the great stuff he does with Sylosis and Architects.

    Love this guitar and it LIVES on the passive mode. Thank you, Josh for keeping all players in mind when designing YOUR signature.

    I love how nolly is just literally everywhere, leaving periphery was one of the best things he could have done for his career

    Sounds awesome! What set up are you getting that great sound out of? And is that drop D or something else? Love the crunch!

      Perhaps drop C going into QC 5153 with JM Rect IR. Typical Josh setup, in some cases a 5150/6505.

    what guitar gauge he use?

    • @JCykk
      @JCykk 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      52-10, to keep the string tension rather tight.

    i wish i could say the build quality was spot on for these guitars. don't get me wrong, i love my jm2, but my fret markers are quite literally crooked. it wasn't only my guitar either. i asked for a replacement from sweetwater and waited for like 8 months while i kept getting more guitars to choose from, each one had the same poor fret markers.
    i understand it has no impact on tone or playability, but i hang my guitars on the wall like art and it just doesn't look like a $1500 guitar.

    Everyone should give the intro riff a listen at 1.75 playback speed, shit is kinda cool!

    Making a Horizon with a bolt-on construction is one thing, but why the hell did they put this godawful, Fender style, block-neckjoint on it ?!
    Common ESP, it´s 2022, ergonomic neckjoints for bolt-on guitars exist for decades!

    • @LouSassles
      @LouSassles 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's funny cause even Fender and their brands (Charvel, Jackson) know to modernize the neck joints and make them slimed down/ergonomic lol

    • @greekfreak1980
      @greekfreak1980 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@LouSassles True, the much cheaper Charvel DK 24 Pro Mod Series all come with ergonomic neck-joints similar to Ibanez´ All Access Design, nowadays.
