Hey man. I just found your channel and subscribed. I want to be where you are at as odd as that is to say lol. I work at a high end restaurant as a cook but 5 years ago I knew nothing NOTHING about cars. I somehow fixed one thing in my car and I got ADDICTED to it. Possessed really. lol over the 5 years ive studied electrical diag and fixed many many cars. But as a hobby.
But now I’m making decent money on the side helping co workers, friends and family. I’m the unofficial mechanic at the restaurant im at. lol But I want to start a small mobile business. I already have all of the tools. Just because I like being prepared for any situation. How would you go about getting customers? And how many jobs a week do you need to do to be viable full time? Sorry my comments are long man. Thanks for your time. Seriously.
Car shows are a really good place to pass out business cards and get good connections for customers! Advertising on instagram and facebook are really good too but it may take a few months of constant posting before you see any leads from those. Those would be my recommendations for starting out
Hey thanks for your advice! Just today took my llc and ein and opened a business bank account and tomorrow i will be legally able to operate, but how to find customers?
Congrats man! Thanks for the question, I’ll go more in depth on this when I make the full video, but for now I wanted to let you know that I went to the local parts stores and talked to them, and they started telling their customers about me. If someone is broke down at Autozone, that’s usually when they need a mechanic the most. For some parts stores, it took a few weeks of building relationships before they agreed to pass my business cards out. The second place to advertise, is definitely car shows. You meet people at a chill environment, people feel comfortable calling you or referring you to someone, and you already know they’re interested in cars. Those are the 2 places I started, but I’ll be able to share more in the upcoming video!
Hey! I am starting a mobile repair business in Muskegon MI next month, I started building a website and a Facebook and all that but Ive got a few questions and I was wondering if you might be available for a phone call or text or something when you aren't busy? I like your content btw, it's very helpful and I will be watching much more as you make it!
Ahhhh gotcha. I use the CapCut app, I’ll add some extra detail in the upcoming video. In the meantime, you can email me at connor.inyourdriveway@gmail.com and I will try to help out some
