For those who don’t get about Amber here is the situation. During the creation process of Mewtwo, Amber was a part of Mewtwo’s life along with the 3 cloned starters, having a psychic conection. Sadly the 4 of them died and Mewtwo was the last one remaining. So to avoid any repercussions, the scientists erased all memories of Amber form him, but that only confused him more on who he is and his life, and made him release his power against human kind (the events of Pokémon the 1st Movie) Explains why here when they are reunited again, he doesn’t remember her, but his heart has still that child soul in him, reason why he started crying all of a sudden. F**k… now I’m crying. 😢
To add to this, this opening scene was a part of the Japanese release of the movie, but removed for the English release, added on to DVD as deleted scenes. A lot of people don't know about it, but the beautiful scene adds so much more to the movie that it's sad to know it was removed.
Mewtwo dealing with his trauma, the pciture of the Mew family and the final reunion of Amber with Mewtwo were the best, life is wonderful, indeed. "It´s my power, it just feels... wrong", just stunning.
