- This 1985 biography of the multi-talented Debbie Allen features rare behind the scenes footage from FAME Season Four as well as interviews with Jesse Borrego, Norm Nixon, Cynthia Gibb, Carol Mayo Jenkins, Carlo Imperato, and Phylicia Rashad. “Cover Story” was a magazine-style program that profiled entertainers. Rift Fournier wrote, produced, directed, and narrated the series for the USA Network cable channel between 1984 and 1988.

Debbie was the original triple threat. Actress, choreographer and director and did it at a time when there were rarely any female directors in hollywood. Still working til this day. She deserves her respect now!!

Love Ms Debbie, she had done something most actors in that old town has not done, she is still married and has a career with grown children, and still successful, and working hard. I just love her, I used to be jealous because I wanted to be a dancer, but my parents where so old fashion in their ways, but I learn to enjoy her life by watching her dance, you might say live through her. Thanks Debbie for not being boring like most actors today, they can't do anything but get paid.

this is what I don't understand the way people think in today's society. someone like Debbie Allen should have 5k thumbs up as opposed to current artists that don't deserve the 5 k's. the reason why I say this. She is so inspirational and motivating. in contrast, someone just shaking they're behind on stage. I would choose her over any current artists. You Rock Debbie Allen!!!

As child, I have watched Fame! She was the reason that I did modern and jazz dancing! Loved that show. Debbie has always been a magnificent dancer and good person! The episode with her and her husband Norm, is pure love! Then and now! 💕❤💕 💃
She makes me smile and she was inspirational to me. I wanted to become a dancer or wanted ot dance after seeing FAME the movie. The tv show sealed it for me. I wanted to dance because of FAME and I made it. Sadly, I never got to meet her, but she's all that is good about being a performer. Love her.

I had to comment on this. Norm Nixon doing dance moves. Debbie Allen with her choreography is brilliant and I give a lot of credit to Norm for being so brave and a good sport.

I see a resemblance to her in Halle Berry and also Thelma from Good Times. No doubt she was a role model to them, for Debbie Allen has been a great role model to many. I remember her most from Fame, and later I learned Phylicia Rashad was her sister, another bonafide beautiful role model, I thought wow. Two beautiful sisters growing up together, both now successful, and speaking only good of the other. That's a tight sister bond, parents love. Though I've seen Debbie on some shows since Fame, and always notice her kept youthfulness, I'm really just knowing of her incredible accomplishments through TH-cam. I believe her dancing skills is her longevity. I'm glad she found her soulmate, and I pray she and Norman have many more years of marital bliss. Debbie you are an extremely blessed woman coming from an extremely blessed family, and these blessings from God, came from the hard work you all put in it. I know it wasn't easy, but some people make it seem so easy, and yes when you become disciplined it comes effortlessly because it's like a good habit formed. If each of us would just do a fraction of what she does I feel we would have a healthier nation. Keep those dancing shoes on Debbie.

When I visited Las Vagas in the eitgties ,I was fortunate to get a glimpse of serverval celebrities Norm Nixion and wife Debbie Àllen , who is the consummate actress, dancer, choreographer, singer, songwriter, director and producer .Debbie is essence of greatness.
