Let's wait for all the comments saying, brake pads are cheap and should replace them!
Just for context, I made this video during the COVID lockdowns, where it is so difficult to find parts. I just bought this bike and I just want to ride it.
It's been more than a year, and I am still riding with the same set of brake pads.
So hope this helps, because I looked at several videos and this is what worked.
    Thanks for watching.

@nonspecificnonsense6780 There are lots of different sizes. You should just take one of the pads off, then take it into the bike shop, and then they should be able to give you the new ones.

Be careful sanding like that, you'll get high and low spots. You should drag the sandpaper against the disc as the wheel is spinning. Gives a much more uniform surface. Bonus if you use a sanding block

    1. Find a steep hill
    2. Roll down applying brakes until they fade and a bit more
The heat will burn off contaminants and your brakes will be good as new when they cooled down.
Tip: Only do one brake at a time so you can stop using the other.

From my personal experience, that is a TERRIBLE idea, it has worked for me to do it over a prolonged period of time but it's almost impossible to do that in a singular run. If your brakes heat up enough to do that in a singular go you need larger rotors ASAP before brake fade straight up MURDERS you, because if you're unprepared it will. Please do not take brake health lightly.

You say it as if it was just pouring water on the pads and rotors then you're good to go when in reality if you do this with regular soap you'll become part of the asphalt or trail that you're riding in. It's important to use the apropriate products and ensure that everything is resurfaced and decontaminated (not "cleaned") properly. One thing that's bad about this short is that he doesn't say what grit he used, wich is important because if you go too coarse you'll damage your rotors, and if you go too fine you'll polish the surface and the pads won't bite properly anymore, meaning that there's not enough friction for them to heat up and deposit the coat on the rotors that actually grips the pads (wich is the reason why pads need to be beded in)
