That's not accurate. The majority of Indian tracks offer slow, low turn. And these are batting paradises, especially to home batsmen. Occasionally, Indians produced a wicked turner, like they did at Ahmedabad, recently. Warne never bowled on one of these. I think even the Indians would have feared him in Ahmedabad.

Take away Murali's plentiful tests against substandard Bangladesh and Zim and his record looks quite average, considering he played on mostly spinning tracks, whilst Warne played on mostly flat tracks. Murali averaged 29 outside Sri Lanka with those filters, compared to Warne's 25. Both average around 25 total. Even Warnie has a far better average in Sri Lanka. Murali's record is heavily skewed if you go by stats alone, and doesn't go in his favour if you take away the rubbish teams.
