Well Apache kudu with Impala is basically used for Real-Time Data Mart on Data Hub Cluster. That is mentioned in Cluster Configuration & Cluster Templates for Data Hub.

Are these two solutions open source like HDP from Hortonworks or do they require a license because hortonworks has merged with cloudera ?

Hi Thibaut,
As Hortonworks and Cloudera has been merged and CDP is the new product after that. So similar to CDH, you can use Trial license for 60-days and later or for production you need to use License.
