    These watercolours are very popular in china and are actually really affordable. I bought a pack of 24 last year in china and they actually perform surprisingly well‼️‼️

      It was around 24 dollars for a set of 24 as well as a bunch of free gifts from the seller. Im sure they are available in in-person stores, but i got mine on taobao

    Hello from Toronto Ontario 🇨🇦. I always enjoy your videos and small paintings. I only paint small because of space limitations and just because I prefer small over large in just about everything. I would buy this affordable set for playing with watercolor paints. I'm not under pressure to paint for profit or success. I just want to have fun. Cheers 🫠

    • @AllanJayQuesada
      @AllanJayQuesada  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I, too, enjoy smaller paintings because they're just more comfortable to do and faster to finish. You can see your output as a whole easier as well without standing far from the painting. These paints are really very good for practice. They're inexpensive yet good. Have fun when you get them. Excited for you. 😇

    I guess Ann from Art on the Creek got a really bad batch because she had a horrible time working these paints. Your paints look wonderful...
    So this would be a good set to begin with???

    • @AllanJayQuesada
      @AllanJayQuesada  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh i havent seen her video. It maybe a bad batch, or maybe the paints had been sitting for so long, so the pigments and binder had separated or sort of misbehaved. Thats unfortunate.
      Yeah, definitely a great set to begin with.. not for total beginners though. I think, pan paints are best for total beginners.. but for those with some experience or for those who are upgrading from school grade paints, these Maries Masters are definitely good.

    Great review. I decided to order this set. I found it on AliExpress, the set of 24. I was thinking of setting it up in a pallet and maybe enhancing it with a few color additions of Winsor & Newton professional paints. I don't like too many colors on my pallet, it then gets confusing. Do you have any suggestions, you mentioned removing one of the greens what would you add?

    • @AllanJayQuesada
      @AllanJayQuesada  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I was to remove the emerald green and phthalo green. I prefer to have Indian Red. But that was just me. It's interesting you are adding W&N pro to this as the English brand is a few steps higher when it comes to quality. But it can work together Ofcourse. 😊

    Hi Allan, have you tried to put the paint to dry in pans? If so, do they behave well and easy to re-wet please? Thanks

    • @AllanJayQuesada
      @AllanJayQuesada  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yes, I had done this in my 18 tubes years before. Honestly, some colors do not activate as easily as most typical brands. They can be activated but not just as instant. Spray them water atleast a minute before use and they're good, or just use them straight from the tube.

    Ano pong TUBE watercolor brand na affordable po for students with good TRANSPARENCY would you recommend po? Thank you!!

    • @AllanJayQuesada
      @AllanJayQuesada  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Asian brands po like Holbein, Paul Rubens are some pro grades na good and affordable po. Transparency not only depends sa brand. But on the pigment selection. So depende po yun sa kulay (pigment). Kasi kahit Daniel Smith pa or Schmincke pa yan, meron parin sa selection nila ang opaque and semi opaque. This is why in my reviews, i put the black line.. some pigments are most of the time transparent like mga PB15 and PV19. Some pigments are often opaque like PW6, PB28 and PG50, PY35 and PR108. So if transparency ang consideration niyo po, you need to study the pigments and probably handpick your colors.. kasi pag sets, they're usually mixed with some opaque colors

      @AllanJayQuesada  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So sorey for your experience. But i can somehow relate as in my 1st try of these paints, years ago, i also experienced binder separation. I think, since i got a new batch/stock now, the paints are fresh.
